My friend, Adrian, has just gone there with his family, he just enjoys soaking up everything french; Boulangerie, Patisserie and a coffee and cigarette at Le Tabac!

That, for me, is the best part of France, just finding a personal corner somewhere and hang. Did Adrian stay in Le Havre itself?

Never been Le Harve will be going in October as our first stop, nothing booked so I think well walk into the town if the weather is ok. Pretty much only going into the town to go to a french cafe and a bakery 😅

You know, I'd do that too if I went again. Our cafe experience on the square was pretty relaxing and there are musuems and parks to keep you busy. A low key day, but nothing wrong with that!

I am going from Ft Lauderdale to Rotterdam in April 2025. I once had the pleasure of spending a whole week in Normandy and did a lot of sightseeing. So this time I am going to explore Le Havre itself. See the library, cathedral and art museum and find a nice place for lunch. Normandy is fantastic. Honfleur and Deauville are wonderful little towns but I also warmly recommend the D-Day beaches. Very impressive.

Great video! Thank you so much for all the info! Love the music too! What is the name of the tune? I have subscribed and I’ll be stopping over at Le Havre on a transatlantic cruise in April.

Hi! Glad you like the videos! I use a music service called Artlist. I'm not sure what song you're referring to - I used 3: Louis Adren - Waltzing in Paris Rex Banner - Waltz for Europa Dan Pundock - I Want You to Want Me My music at the beginning is original, written by my nephew. Have fun at La Havre! It's a nice town once you're out of the industrial zone.

You just saved me the return ticket back to the ship. Do you suggest taking a taxi to the Honfleur Shuttle area/ Bee Le Havre?
@ThePortLowdown Жыл бұрын
Yes indeed. HOWEVER - you'll be competing with lots of folks needing taxis to head to the train station and Paris. Leave early if you can. Or just wait for an available taxi - there's a line. You could walk it in about 30-40 min if you're energetic. We had our parents with us, so walking was out and we didn't want to wait in the taxi line.

@@ThePortLowdown Hi , does the return shuttle leave Honfleur in plenty of time to get back to the ship ?
@troyperry6195 ай бұрын
You'll need to check your ship's all aboard time. That said, the Bee shuttle did drop us at the port entrance itself and not at town center, which was nice. Bee shuttle is an indendant company, so you need to be mindful of the bus schedule. @gazm4751

Please from le harve france to Ireland for footpassager travelling what's the requirement passport only or visa
@ThePortLowdown11 ай бұрын
Hi! Not sure, really. We stayed on the ship and got off in the UK.
@djune2866 ай бұрын
Depends on your passport. Also keep in mind that France is Schengen and Ireland and the UK are not so separate rules.

it's only 30 minutes walk?
@ThePortLowdown Жыл бұрын
If you walk fast, lol. There's a fair amount of industry to walk through before crossing the bridge and heading for downtown.

We will be in the terminal in Oct. Shall we take the shuttle to downtown and any sugguestion for any cafe. It is safe?
