Another 13 and Santal 33 are two of my faves from Le Labo. There's something about these two - very signature-worthy. Leaves a good trail of scent, people around me always wonder what I wear.

Santal 33 was my first love and got me hooked with Lelabo fragrance. Reminded me so much of my childhood days when I visited my late grandma’s kampung house (sandalwood scent!). I also love Rose 31, very different from the other Rose fragrances, subtle yet sweet on the same time. My husband is in love with Patchouli (2nd refil in a span of 2 year 🤦🏾‍♀️). And my 8 years old son love Tabac (city exclusive) that he would request for a tiny spray on special occasions ♥️.

The noir 29 is my favourite..so good😍😍 .Le labo on me so far has a great longevity, I dont need to reapply and it last the whole day.🤭🤭 . My advice for those who wants to try LE LABO should let it grows on you .

Kept hearing so many praises for Santal 33 and decided to try it out at the store. Wow.. I really cannot stand the smell as it smells kinda strange. I love sandalwood fragrances such as Diptyque’s Tam Dao, but Santal 33 just didn’t sit well with me. I end up getting Rose 31 though as it was dry, spicy and alluring.

Labdanum 18. Gets a ton of compliments when I wear it out. You need very little and a 1.7 oz bottle will last forever.

I considered getting the rose 31 and loved it but I agree. It doesn’t last long. I’m glad I asked for a sample first before impulsively buying as I tend to buy on impulse. I ended up choosing santal 33 and fleur d’oranger 27. I love them both.

Great review! Yeah, living in NY for so long I’ve always loved Le Labo. Santal 33 started as an in-the-know sort of secret small cult hit where you would catch whiffs of it on the street or subway and everyone would be enamored wondering what you were wearing… and few people knew about the small shop in NoLita unless they walked by and smelled the glorious scent wafting out of the store. It was very much IYKYK. It is so nostalgic for me and so many in the city, it reminds me of the glory days of the bar milk&honey (now Attaboy), early/mid 2000s aesthetics like grungy silver and industrial chic, but it’s also quite refined and complex… for me it is sipping an old fashioned on a plush leather couch next to a fire on a brisk Fall NY evening.. but with a twist… like you said almost pickle… perhaps the drink is a Gibson. Over time it became a breakout hit and everyone (I repeat everyone, man and woman alike) was wearing it to the point that it became THE smell of NYC. So widespread was the love, eventually people tired of the sent as the cat was out of the bag, we got older and the scent started to reminded a lot of us of our younger selves and particularly ex lovers. 😅 There was a period of time that people were simply sick of it and it was pretty much a faux pas to wear it in public especially because it is travels/lasts. As many stopped wearing it or at least wearing it regularly, it is slowly starting to come back not into popularity (it has stayed popular), but into acceptance as wearable in public again. I think also as covid has us locked away for so long people are eager to get out and smell other people again. haha. Anyway, I could write a love letter to Santal 33. 😂 Interestingly, prior to this their Rose 31 was their first breakout hit and in fact my first experience with Le Labo as my parents and I had stayed at the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel for a ski trip and LeLabo exclusively supplied Rose 31 toiletries to the hotel chain -which continues to this day for all of their properties. It is a testament to the staying power, love for, and adaptability of the fragrance. I remember my parents and I adoring the scent and making sure to throw all of the hand lotions in our bags before we left! I actually still have one saved as a memento. First fragrance I ever bought my BF was Thé Noir.. so many memories… anyway. Le Labo certainly isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for and if you like their fragrances you will not be disappointed.

I love noir 29 and another 13 but I feel their prices are so steep especially for the city exclusives. I would definitely get Gaiac 10 and Citroen 27 if the price point is lower.

Santal 33 I can’t stand, first time I tried it on me had the worst migraine, nausea, never again! Also you can’t go one day without smelling it on multiple people while out in LA, which makes it super ordinary to me. Another 13 is all I wear, its not strong but there’s something in it that gives me a migraine but love it so much hoping one of these days my brain adjusts to it😂 Just got samples of Cedrat 37 and Gaiac 10. We’ll see how those go!

same. I hated Santal 33. I was so ready to buy it because I hear lots of great review on that. I went to the store today, and I was very disappointed. It smelled so strong and bad. I wonder why a lot loved it. Tried samples of Noir, Matcha, Santal and Another 13. My only acceptable scent among those is Another 13.

Another 13 is my signature scent and will never be without it. Cannot stand Santal 33: on me it smells harsh, screechy, old vibe lady, and gives me headache and nausea and it is the perfume that made me scared of Sandalwood.

You have to use is so so sparingly. I spray it into the air in my bathroom, wait a second, then walk though the area I sprayed and *that is enough*. When I get back to my apartment later the entire apartment is perfumed with the smell. 😂 I love it though, you just need to be easy on it.

You explained Another 13 wrong. Another 13 is different and wears different on everyone’s skin & skin chemistry. Ofcourse all fragrances are like that but Another 13 has ISO E Super which can go with or against some people skin chemistry
