Great video Rich. Can recommend Lalique Le Parfum a Ropion hidden gem of a fragrance. Incredible bang for your buck frag. It’s marketed towards women but the West Indian bay in it keeps it unisex. The frag that got me to appreciate vanilla a lot more because before that I wasn’t the biggest fan.

Def curious to know your thoughts on Jubilation 40 on skin, as it’s on my list to sample. I was intrigued by TFVS when it was announced until they revealed the almond note. The almond in FingFab is foul on my skin. I was never a fan of le male (aside from essence) but I really like Elixer and ripped through my decant. My hard drive is SFW btw lmao. Thanks for the first impressions!

hi and once again thank you for the videos, for the Jean Paul Gaultier perfume I don't know it but I believe you when you say that it has an atmosphere of the male from 1995, for my part I like this smell but simply for the memories of my adolescence I think it's just a taste for nostalgic memory in addition to that to create "the male" the perfumer is inspired by the perfume "Caron" for a man from 1934,

As many women do, I love a good vanilla fragrance 🤷🏻‍♀️ BUT having collected perfumes for 20-ish years I guarantee you can get a nice vanilla for a lot less money 🙌🏻 - Outremer “Vanilla”, Sylvaine Delacourte’s vanilla collection, Essential Parfums “Divine Vanille”, Les Senteurs Gourmande “Tendre Vanille” for an added lemon twist and MANY more 🥳 PS. Your Le Male Elixir coughing fit was a perfectly accurate description 😂

Jubilation 25 never quite worked for me.. The 40 version sounds interesting enough to sample. I like Vanilla Sex so far but I also really thought it shouldn't be more than 150 dollars....not whatever they are charging.

Fragrance apprentice loves that Jean Paul Gaultier but I agree it's for young ones I'm 30 I'd never wear it the original 95 formulation is fantastic though my dad dad that one is far better than any version today

I always hated the original, smelled like sweet chalk. I'm glad George enjoyed it, he could probably wear it as he's young at heart and I have the heart of a 5000 year old mummified cat

Jubi 40 was a weird one for me. I did 3 sprays and could just barely smell it all day except up close. Like it’s so thick it just sunk like a stone in water and never lifted off. However, the sweater I was wearing that day smelled wonderful for weeks on. It smells good but I’m not sure the ultra high concentration benefits this scent.

I agree. Amouage have been on this "more is more" venture with their older stuff recently and I'm not sure the premise is sound tbh

I think its to do with iso e super. Depending on your genetic make up, you will either quickly go ansomic to it, or you will smell it for ages.

So, the vintage Jubilation xxv from the snap cap bottle still remains the best rich oil money scent. Well, that Galaxolide is the heart of the old one, as Jura would say. Thank you my friend. I will buy Jubi 40 just in honour of Berty D. but the first iteration of Jubilation xxv is my favourite blackburry/olibanum creation by far. I’ve smelled all three of these and I’d pass on all of them. I was most disappointed by Jub40 but none are worth a buy. I wouldn’t buy 40 even at half price.
