actually...that Porsche's tactic, lasting the race, they know what it takes to win, and it doesn't take outright speed, they knew they could sacrifice speed because they knew they had a bulletproof car that lasts the race, something Toyota and Mercedes-Benz did not have.

yeah that porsche GT1 made a lovely noise, the BMW winner of next year was the best sound of 1999 imo.

battle of the titans, one of the best races I saw live between 1995 and 2001. when Audi and Peugeot started these oil heaters ,with fuel for farm machinery,my interest was gone!There's no need anymore to go to Le Mans,you can smell it at your local potato field. where is that sound of de ferrari 333 sp or the 1991 winner mazda 787 B ?
