To be honest: Pretty much speechless here. This must be quiet a hell of work putting the right grid together with all the cars, names, liveries etc. And man, it paid out so much! You really got me back into Le Mans mode with this. Loved this race ever since, especially the Group C era, which was the last real big renaissance (hope we get a new one this year - probably the last) in motorsport racing. And it comes so much to life in this video. The sight of all the cars coming down the long straight to Mulsanne in beginning twilight - just an epic, amazing sight. Espcially the replay parts create so much immersion, so that I almost forgot I watched a sim game here. Isn't it amazing how many opportunities AC offers? I can't stop being excited of this variety. By the way: Long ago a watched a YT video over 30 minutes in one "stint". But his one got me so invested. 50 minutes maybe not long for pro sim drivers, but I did this race (just the 1955 version of it) recently and I know it can be tough to stay focused the whole time. Especially the night passages can be tough. Must be hard to get the braking points right at the two chicanes but just seeing them very late. And of course (and as always) - superb driving. This video deserves more than one thumb up. Probably the best you shared so far - which means a lot with your great content. Thanks for uploading. Last question at the end: Is there a reason you didn't choose the 1991 Reboot version of the Le Mans track?

Hi, I'm happy with this video and glad you like it. As of the grid, the names are easy. Just one evening work. What is not so easy is to get the right cars. I got like 95% of the C1 cars, but the C2 or GTP's are harder to get. But we have other C2 models available, so I could complete the grid that way. Another problem was to have 50 cars in race as I did at first tests, because my PC didn't like it😅. But deleting just five cars helped to maintain FPS. And with the grid gathered it was time to bop each class, practice, learn how to control my car around here, car setup and a lot more details. I think could have been better, but I think the final result is good. The driving not so good... The second chicane gave me problems at night, I must admit I lost the braking points. I hoped to gain on AI during first laps, but was happening the opposite which got me nervous. And only good drivers can cut time gaps at night. Thank God there was no rain that year, as the night rain in 89. Also some AI were too fast even with ballast and restrictor... There's no reason for not using the Reboot version track. I simply forgot about it. I already had this not so bad version from many moons ago and I remembered I liked it. Lack of enough time mistake for not searching and downloadong a best version.😢 I' ll be looking forward for Le Mans 55. Golden age of racing that never will come back for what I see... The cars, the exciment of past races and past drivers... some of them unjustified forgotten today. Thank you for watching this from the "virtual grandstand" as you said. Take care👍

Well done for getting the grid together with all the cars. But should've used the no chicanes version of le mans

Thank you mate. 1990 was first year they used chicanes. I did a 1971 race with no chicanes, it's on my videos list.👍

I'm trying to do something similar but the cars pit maneuver each other, did you set opponent aggressiveness to the lowest?
