For these female detainees, my heart bleeds for them. So heart breaking. But prison in Mauritius is not rehabilitative, it's punitive. It's unfair, unjust. The weak who had no means to defend ended up in jail whereas the rich was so strong in court hiring the best lawyers got away with crimes. The judiciary in Mauritius has no integrity, no fairness, huge imbalance, disproportionate. If we the citizens don't push the government and go international, then our judicial system will be doomed for God knows how many more years injustice will prevail.
