The Malagasy government is finally trying to fix the problem. They're building quite a large prison outside of the city. I had a tour at the construction site yesterday. It seems the government had no other option after receiving so much pressure for change after this documentary was released. My dad actually helped film this documentary as a local fixer. Showing the horrors of this prison to the world was the best thing to do for the prison system in Madagascar to change. even though it puts the country i live in to shame, im happy this video has 15 million views
@G.TZ772 жыл бұрын
If they have money to build a new prison, why they don't give more money to fix the problems of this one??? Everybody says that this prison is hell... But if you see the biggest problems, they're not because they want this prison to be so awful. It is because they don't give money for nothing.... So everything becomes such a huge problem, and all together make this prison hell...

@@vinceoldenhof7117 Yes I agree, but... But if they could give more money, some things could be definitely better... My point was different. If you see at the comments of these documentaries, everybody says that Magadascare is the worst. If you search you will find about a prison in Syria. This prison is true hell, because they want to be hell. In Magadascare, you can see mothers with babies inside. What you can understand from this?? They want this prison to be hell??? Definitely not.. But sure is one of the worst. Why?? Because they don't want to give more money....

It may not be their fault. They said rape is common here. Any ways why blame the mothers specifically, do you think the system should be allowed to hold babies (or do any one this) ? The woman @25:40 is accused of fraud awaiting conviction, yet she has to bring her child to the prison who consequently gets sick.

How does that man look that healthy at 75 after over 30 years there! There’s really nothing stronger than the will to live!

@Raven The Goddess of Heauxs and Da Woke what healthier, you better stay there and eat food, you won't even survive for a second and that man who is living there for 38 years

@Mike Chwiecko Bruhh have you actually given the bible a try . I used to doubt many things before but after reading some stuff there . A lot of it actually explains stuff that can help in real life. Don’t just doubt that God is real cause you think science and God cannot coexist . After all science just explains how things around us work .Doesn’t mean that science couldn’t have been created by God

According to the translator, there are still people working as auxiliary who will go inside at 7PM, so maybe they wait for the last people to be lock up, though we don't know their rules in there.
