I didn't even know they were going to be at Coachella but I saw some people already saying how they were lacking. I didn't believe that their performance would be bad but I went to watch Blackpink's performance...there is a huge gap between the two performances. I would assume that they chose having a good time over having a good performance (singing and dancing) . It's not bad but it also depends if a person values a good time over a good performance. @@hobiiiswifey3624 actually I'm a fan since their debut hell I'm hoping they come back they have a ton of potential they have only been active for a little less than 2 years (AKA still rookies at least in my eyes) . This performance was to be expected which is why at least a section of people are upset that they were a part of a big festival like Coachella so early in their careers. I hope they come back to show their improvement in balancing crowd work and performance because I know they'll be incredible once they find that balance (don't know about the actual haters that aren't giving criticism or even acknowledging on what they did well in or just cursing them for their performance)

First thing I noticed was how much Sakura has improved, dang! They honestly did better than I expected considering some prior live vocals I'd seen of theirs. I would assume they must've been practicing like crazy as they've improved but I think there is still room for further improvement. I agree with others that I don't think they were ready for such a big stage with a heavy focus on live vocals which is what a lot of people were saying before when they were announced to be at Coachella. That being said, they did a great job at hyping the crowd but watching this back on YT, it feels kinda flat and I don't really know why? It could've been better but at the same time I've heard Le Sserafim sound MUCH worse than this so they've obviously been working hard and it's paying off, I just think they need more time.

They've definitely improved and I think it's important to acknowledge that but they're also fairly lackluster when it comes to vocals unfortunately. I was very excited for their performances, then I read it was bad and decided to not even watch to not be disappointed. Then there were comments that it's not actually that bad so here I am. Yes, it's not good, but it's not the worst thing in the world. I also decided to go back and watch Blackpink's performance once again and they used backtrack for almost every song while Le Sserafim mostly sang without backtrack. Nerves, hard dances, some of the songs not suiting ANY of the girls voices - there's too many nuances for just saying they are bad singers. BUT I have to say that Sakura surprised me very much. Her voice is very stable and I haven't heard her sound that good like ever.

Seems like quite a lot of people have no idea how live performances are and how they sound. Go watch a band perform like at Glastonbury and you may well get an idea. These girls are not perfect they are not lip syncing , nor are there any voice enhancers/effects being used just pure rawness of how human voice sounds.

People keep comparing them to BP… Couple things: 1. They have only been a group for a year 2. They have SUPER hard choreo compared to BP 3. They have very young members Personally - I thought for them still doing more of their moves- they did a great. I noticed Sakara slowed down her moves or didn’t dance as much to hit her notes & she sounded great! Breathing technique would be the biggest thing for them learn or have more calmed down choreo for the full on live But to me they sounded amazing & really kept the crowd going & engaged!

People are always unhappy with everything, "they don't sing well, the performance was underwhelming, they aren't Coachella ready." The energy of this performance alone could out do half of the American artists/singers. When it comes to enjoying a concert/performance Vs vocals, performance quite literally surpasses everything else. For Christ sake their dancing alone w/o singing is impressive. There are so many groups that sing live and sound very unlike the song they are singing to. Even older groups that have been in the industry forever still have trouble sounding the same as the songs they come out with. This is EXTREMELY prominent to American artists too. You guys can't be mad at these girls when their performance was entertaining to watch and they put in so much effort. Y'all were mad at blackpink last Coachella for their performance, and they've been in the industry for how long??? Their dancing last year was underwhelming and their vocals were extremely average. They will only continue to GROW.
