That woman opened so many doors for Asian performers and breaking barriers till now. The recent broadway show she was cast in (Once on this island) won a Tony for best revival. She is a triple threat and a cut above the rest. A Disney princess/Legend and a broadway royalty.

Lea can go to any country and ask to be on tv show to promote her concert and they’ll give her airtime. That’s why you can’t really compare her to other filipino artists. That’s how well-respected she is, globally.

The BEST part is she DID NOT audition for the roles the Disney Crews Asked her to audition . I watched an interview where she said they left a letter in her dressing room saying they’ve been looking for her and to give them a call.. Disney came knocking at her door not the other way around .

What she's talking about here was for the singing voice of Princess Jasmine where the casting Director personally searched for her. But for the singing voice of Mulan, she actually auditioned for it, she also said in one of her interviews that "Not because you've got a role before doesn't automatically mean you will get another one" talking about how she auditioned for Mulan.

They already got the actress Ming Na Wen for the voice actress but since she cannot sing so they searched for a singing voice for Mulan . And that’s where Lea said they left a note in her dressing asking her to audition. Lea did not went there to audition they ASKED her to audition. Big difference there buddy .! Wala akong sinabing hindi sya nag audition . Pakibasa ng mabuti po ang original post ko . They asked her to audition which is a big compliment on Lea’s part . That’s why she went there to audition. Hence the bottom line “ Disney knocking at her door not the other way around .”Kaya Lang sya nag audition is because they asked her to audition. That’s what I’m trying to say in my original posts which obviously flew off your head . I hope you get the gist .

Something amazing that I hadn't heard until fairly recently was Liz Callaway (the singing voice of Anastasia - "Journey to the Past") - had been up for several Disney princess roles before that.
