Funny reading the comments. This is not a charger, its a voltage dependant switch. The pcb connects the 2 positive terminals together at a pre-determined set voltage and then dis-connects them when the upper level setting is reached. The 2 negative terminals are already connected together.

The device determines when the minimum battery level is placed below a preset level, when this level of voltage on the battery poles is passed, a relay (max 20A) switches on the CHARGING VOLTAGE to the battery. This prevents the battery's pole voltages from passing the lowest permitted level that allows the battery to be RECHARGED. And the same occurs when the battery is fully charged to the pre-set level, the charging voltage is disconnected and overcharging with a damaged battery is avoided. However, the device has absolutely no control over the charging current of the battery, normally 10%-20% of total battery capacity. If the charging current is to be regulated, as must always be done when charging a battery that is being charged, a converter with Constant Current (CC) must be used. It is important to be aware that this unit is only part of the parts of what is needed when charging batteries. This example of recharging a battery will eventually destroy it, precisely because the charging current is not regulated. Charging current regulation is probably as important as control over the charging voltage. Keep this in mind, folks.

Your meter shows the battery voltage is 12.6V but the XH-M603 reads it as 12.2V i.e. the XH-M603 is inaccurate, 0.4V low. This would seem to be a big problem for something controlling lithium batteries. Even lead-acid would be damaged by 0.4V overcharging.

Will it stop charging?The battery draws less amps as it gets charged.It will eventually draw 0 amps.What happens if you leave it on too long and the battery heats up or starts drawing more current.

I'm curious about why you used the DC to DC step-up converter. Your Power Supply is set at 12v, right? Why can't we just plug the 12v directly into the Battery Charge Control Board and set the lower limit to 11v and upper limit to 12v? Are the 14v necessary? Why not just set your power supply to 14v from the beginning?

Yes, 14V is necessary according to the battery I used in here. 2.35V Per cell x 6 cells = 14.1V Read this www.powerstream.com/SLA.htm for further information.

So why do you use the voltage converter? Just because youre source doe snot go higher than 12 volts? I mean I planned to connect the XH-m603 to a solar panel . It's voltage can be up to 30 volt. (seen max 29 so far) thats why I got this little gadget. Assuming it can handle variable voltage inputs.

Jika pake charger 15 volt indikator pada xhm 603 akan kedip terus. Jika kita set upper 14v. Jadi indikator mengikuti arus adaptor. Jadi fungsinya nga ada donk. Lagsungkan aja adaptor ke baterai.

You don't have to recalibrate it every time. Also if you are using this for 18650 cels you should use it between a regular charger as it will extend its life span ;)

No ,these chargers are around 4/5amp max,,they could not handle that ammount of amperage .unless a massive heat sinc was used .and may be plus a few more mosfets and one way diodes .

Can this module take input of 20V from laptop charger and charge a Lead Acid 12v battery without any problem? I am worried because the laptop charger output 20v but battery is a 12v battery. Start charge volt i am setting in the module is 11.5 and cutoff voltage i set is 14V.

I’ve tried to build this to charge my 18650 5 battery pack. Got 20.5v supply in, charge window . 11.5v to 20.4 battery kicks in to charge then off again, is my M603 board faulty??

check the built in voltmeter sometimes those are off by 0.7V or more. So the voltmeter shows 11.5 actual may be 11.7+/-0.7V.
