Lead Climbing World Cup Simulation Training ✊ | Adam Ondra

Before every World Cup, it is a tradition to climb on the World cup style routes, under the same procedure, ideally under similar pressure. Take a look at our simulation as we are attempting together with Martin Stranik two relentless hard routes set specially for us. How high can we get? Are the routes harder or easier than on the real World cup? Take a look at the video from the lead World Cup simulation training!

I have a hard time remembering short boulder sequences, and can almost never read them from the ground. The ability to read an entire lead climb and memorize it in minutes is as amazing to me as the ability to climb it.

Motivating video! I find a bit weird that a comp simulation is programmed right before a world cup. Usually are around 3 months before the big event so that they don't interfere with the program and don't decrease confidence (as happened this time). But I guess that you have at least a couple of days for improving your reading abilities! Wish you the best!
