What a winter training session looks like whilst training for the Olympics...
During a visit to Yonder for their 'The Yawn Wall' even, Toby tackles the centres hardest boulders followed by a spray wall session.

My joints are so worn down after 2 hour bouldering session. My skin is gone. How in the world can you do 6 hours BEFORE a comp? Lol that’s insane.

Hey Toby just leaving a comment here after I watched the Olympics. This was the first video I came across from you, and your training documentation + commentary was insightful. It was amazing to see your hard work pay off, and seeing your heartfelt reaction to your end result made me tear up too 🥺 It’s so cool to see a pro climber work so hard to improve themselves, and just wanted to say that it’s super inspiring. Excited to see more going forward 🎉

@@th3l05t-f1z use handcreme after instantly after every session and before you sleep. also once in a while use antihydral instead before you sleep. do 50%max fingerboarding two times a day every day so your skin gets stronger there without damaging it too much. dont get in the danger zone, where its close to blood, because it needs longer at least for me to repair. at last you need to check your nutrient intake. do you give your body enough and the right nutrients so you can build up collagen.

Really great dedication to training, Toby! I am excited to follow your journey to the Olympics, knowing that you will be competing with an incredibly talented field of experienced athletes who are legends in their own right while representing the new generation of climbers along with Sorato and hopefully Mejdi. I hope you have a great training season and can show your best self in Paris. I had a question, Toby -- how tired are you in training sessions and how do you manage recovery / not pushing it? My sense is you're one of the hardest working athletes in terms of training volume. How sore/tired are you on a daily basis going to bed, waking up and getting into a session? Are you trying to get 10+ hours in bed daily? Have you found that you can balance nutrition enough for your training load? I think the whole community would love to learn from you on training and recovery tactics.
