Nice one Antonio 👍. You saw my writing on the way out then, that made me laugh 😂😂. We've never bothered go down the tunnel by the short ladder( which goes to the car in stope)because thought it didn't go anywhere and was waist deep and silty, but obviously no point going down it and getting wet again because wouldn't get up the ore shute shaft. But good to see what's down there anyway

If you go into the stope off the the bottom of the first ab instead of the ladder you will come to a hole into the 23fm chamber at the top of the big ore shoot, you can abseil this. The bolts at the top of the ladder way was to fix a life line for inexperienced groups. The shaft in the 23fm chamber is 13m deep to the 33fm. All main abseil bolts, chains, incline shaft ropes, hand line over the open flooded floor on 33fm and steel cable at Pontifex level / New load junction were put in by me some 12 years ago. I also surveyed all areas you could get in and done some digs for further exploration, this was all solo work phew, Thank you for making such a good video of Pandora. Above your head in the false floors 27 to 28 mins there is a 1922 paper, tamping rode, beer bottle and a cigarette end all in the same place. At 28.40 the wood lined shaft goes to the 23fm which can be absieled down. At 29.55 you had a quick look up a passage, I dug this 10 years ago, it comes to a t-junction left tight to the bottom of a back filled man way to 23fm, right goes in and down to the flooded levels. At 31.35 the area below the false floor goes to 55fm ( mine bottom ), it's best to use the guide rope as the wood in the false floor is saturated, if it goes it will just sink to the lower levels, I tested this with a section from the floor. The raising main has a none return valve in that large joint you can see. The water in the Pontifex level can got chin deep been there done that, scary. Finally just to let you know, it's being looked at to cage the exit like other mines in the Gwydyr

I bet the mine police hate you for doing this lololol. But, one day it will be gone, and this will be the record! Wow, that level with the false floors at the bottom of the shaft, so picturesque. 16 minutes, most unusual ore shoot I've ever seen. There is a car in the shaft, I'm guessing not a Ford Fiesta lol. Nice false floors, I know a large section of them, may do a video on that someday. It's lovely when you don't have to climb back out. That was fun :)

Great video, really enjoyed it (although I'm sad as I hoped to be there myself last weekend but it couldn't happen :( ). You didn't film the milky way passage or find the horse's jawbone on this trip. How did the others who went the other way get on? (when you ab down the ore chute from 23ftm to 33ftm and they went for the crawl)
@undergroundexplorersc9c2703 жыл бұрын
Thanks 😀🙏🏼🙋🏻♂️Yes there was loads left to film that we didn’t explore this time ! The others explored the way through the crawl then came back to meet us !

The amount of water in some of these mines always intrigue me
@undergroundexplorersc9c2703 жыл бұрын
Yes I know what you mean ! It’s hard to imagine the hard battle the miners had to face to stop water from claiming their workings !
@tomtom44053 жыл бұрын
Maybe because you are in the US and you have all those desert drift mines. In the UK as soon as you get below the surface you encounter water, lots of water! And Wales certainly has no shortage of ground water :)

**Please update the title to remove the name** The owner (S.S) has been asking people NOT to do this because of concerns that people stir up heavy metal pollution (cadmium as well as others) into the lake used for water sports (Ll. G.) and there are only 2 entrances for a through trip, 1 is an open lode on farmland and definite NO, the other is in a NRW forest and is prohibited by bylaws. Please don't spoil this for everyone else. Please just remove the "P" word from the title. Thanks in advance

The mine drains into geirionydd so makes no difference. If it was mine A..... Then yes, farmer uses mine for water and is known to chase you with a shotgun 😂 And forestry commission don't own any land, they've just stolen it with fraudulent acts and statutes 🤨

@@shonkytours2039 yep & the queen is biggest benefit sponger. 😛👍🏻

@@shonkytours2039 Maybe true but I heard the owner has asked people to only enter from the drainage adit and restricts how much of the mine is accessed to reduce footfall. I'm not sure if that helps tbh because I *assume* stirring up sediment when splashing about on the 33ftm level causes problem. However... the version I heard, is that is what the owner is asking. Here's an old article from about 10 years ago www.dailypost.co.uk/news/local-news/concerns-over-llyn-geirionydd-pollution-2779088. Before anyone grumbles word is that he is a good guy. The farm land is leased to a tenant farmer so not the same as Mr shotgun. Don't trespass on the farmland if you don't like shotguns (so don't try to enter "Champion" lode, not sure if that is still possible anyway?)
