I am an older Romanian, that was born and grew up in communism. I still feel our democracy is new and fragile, so unexpected moves like cancelling the elections rather than letting the country fall into the hands of either a eccentric, if not outright Russian asset, president or to a totally stupid one was OK for me. Let elections start over, let Georgescu run for office, but only after he too is known better by the people. Let some credible counter-candidates run too. What happened was a horrible manipulation of votes by some shady figures, probably Romanian , possibly Russian, we still have to find out. Don't kill freedom in the name of democracy. Georgescu said it clear enough: there will be no more parties if he has his way. The guy is nuts, but his gibberish seems very intellectual. Compare him to Ms Lasconi, she can't hold a candle to him, the amount of outright stupid things she said while on campaign disgusted many of us. Romania's choice can't be between the two of them!🤮

I think it is very good that George Simion had a talk with the Polish right wing party. Maybe they will teach him about some geopolitical facts, that he constantly ignores. In Poland, no matter how crazy conspirationist turbo-patriotic you are, you will never be pro-Russian. In Romania this is not so clear. So maybe he learnes something from his Polish friends.

NATO wants to stir more shit in Europe and build the biggest base here in Romania , putting as in danger , we have good relation with Russia , why destroy that ?
