BRICS need to accelerate the expansion of new member states as well as establishing alternative payment system to SWIFT and agree to use alternative currency so that we no longer rely on the dollar to settle international payment. In my part of the world (Africa) we are craving for the success of BRICS because we see greater opportunities for Africa to grow, which we have been denied for many decades by neocolonialists who entrapped us with crippling debt while stealing our natural resources to sustain their economies.

But they’re not at the core of the international financial system as many seem to believe. There have always been other types of loans between countries and groupings of countries and territories. China and Russia don’t lend through the IMF and World Bank. They choose not to which is fine, but obviously they would need to participate in order to influence them.

That is a blatant lie! They do not emit more than the rest of the world combined, absolutely ludicrous and an easily debunked lie. In fact in terms of CO2 emissions per person USA, Germany & Australia, plus a few others all produce more than China. Obviously a country with 1.5 billion has more emissions than one with 300 million. Same as UK produces more CO2 than Ireland... UK has near 70 million Ireland has 5 mil! Not to mention China does the majority of manufacturing, all those countries will still need those goods and would increase their c02 if they made them themselves. Plus China is leading in Solar, wind, green agri tech and other fields such as thorium reactors, they have some of the most committed environment policies in the world and pursue them far more rigorously than most of our westen countries, especially USA!

Unfortunately, China has not yet learned its lessons because Uyghurs are still in re-education camps, the Taiwanese living in China live in constant fear.. China is expanding the Silk Road but at the same time is exploiting many countries with gag contracts and at the same time is buying their ports all over the world with it If the worst comes to the worst, you can either paralyze the affected country and make it dependent to be able to do it, unfortunately you can already see it in East Africa, on the other hand, you can take part in political events to influence an election or a political change in your favour. So you can also very easily start proxy wars and stay out of it (act as if you have nothing to do with it). But that, too, will collapse like the real estate / artificial economic bubble that the Chinese built. But it was Lula who not only waited for us before the Cold War.. he also encouraged it with his attitude towards arms supplies to Ukraine. But the far worse thing is that Lula doesn't have his own country under control because in Brazil a lot of people and mostly young people die every day either from drugs or from weapons and crime., Lula is a chat star for Brazil. With him a new recession will begin, unfortunately. The ones I feel most sorry for are the young parents, the elderly and those who still have dreams in the favelas and still live there not get the chance to come out of the disaster. People are hungry for food, work and rest. I hope for the Brazilians, who are fighting for survival every day, that they will also be heard and, above all, that something will change and that it will be to their advantage.
