It's not that horrible people existed at the same time. It's that horrible people had an ability to do horrible things. There are many horrible human beings but they're mostly suppressed. In this particular period, horrible humans were allowed to do horrible things. And even praised for it.

A few months back I got the opportunity to visit a private library and on the top shelf was a volume of Mein Kampf personally signed by Hitler. It was chilling to see and touch a signature that signed the deaths of millions. A very disturbing book.

Two weeks after Germany invaded Poland from the west, Russia invaded Poland from the east. Why was this fact omitted from this documentary?

If I were to guess, it's probably because the Russian invasion of Poland probably isn't particularly relevant in the life of somebody who wouldn't have participated in it.

If I were to guess...No. This is just part the 'narrative' to omit inconvenient facts. Ken Burns's WWII also omitted Russia's invasion of Poland in 1939.

There are countless documentaries (including on this channel), essays, and books that acknowledge both the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, and the Soviet role in the invasion of Poland. Whatever conspiracy you see going on here is purely fantasy.
