He is spot on about the toxic startup culture. A lot of them will tell you you are a part of the family, buts its only a way to trick you into working on weekends or not pay you when salary day comes. This is not the case for all startups though, but most of them are like that.

Hi, Thanks for getting Mr.Rajiv, very interesting discussion.. So I have a query, Iam running Fabrication unit which I started recently, I have a problem with the workers that they repeat whatever mistake even after 2 months of repeatedly informing them but they keep creating the same/similar mistake, its very dificult to get a labour so I am hesitating to fire them. Due to mistakes the delivery time gets extended and quality issue etc and so on. So is it good idea to put some action ie., cut small part of salary as a fine or penalty...

I just finished listening to this beautiful podcast on Spotify. Due to word limit there, I couldn't post my comment there. I liked Sachin's perspective on a lot of things and being one of the modern leaders, it resonates with me a lot. There's just one suggestion I have for Sachin that is avoiding using low quality words such as Nalla or Haramkhor to get his point across. His knowledge and language otherwise is very powerful, but these few words dilute the quality of his speech and statements. It's like chewing a clove all of a sudden while enjoying a delicious meal. Being a leader himself, he can consider modeling good language for those who look up to him as role model. To briefly introduce myself - I am Rajat, little over 13 years of experience in software development. Working in USA/Canada for half of that.
