As a husband coming from a worldly background trying to walk more with Christ I realize how lost I am and how much of a poor job I have been doing with out him
@selenagreen5969 Жыл бұрын
As a wife married for 17yrs, I had to realize this and understand Gods plan and purpose for marriage. My parents have been married 43 yrs, and I never seen submission or my father sitting in his seat as head of the home. My mom made decisions and made changes within the home and my father submitted to her. It was something questionable but I was a child, but I also got saved at 13, so God had already given me the Holy spiritual guidance then. Now within my own marriage I am learning to be more submissive. It’s not as hard as it was in the first 5 yrs of our marriage. And I have to help my husband heal from the lacks way back then. Pray for us please! While I’m learning this, I feel that I need him more than ever to understand the woman here today is fully submitted, but needs love and empathy in return. 😢

Keep listening to voddie's preaching. R.C. Sproul is another one. He is considered the teacher of preachers. Ligonier Ministries has wonderful resources to bring you to deeper waters. The enemy isn't going to idly stand by either. Get ready, as you grow in faith he will try to cause trouble.. and if he can't get to you directly, he will go after you indirectly, using people close to you. Peace and blessings upon your household.

May I leave you with a tip. My wife and I celebrate our 50th anniversary this coming November. Read the bible together ( it doesn’t have to be long chapters) pray together daily with your wife! Even if you haven’t had a good day together, by praying together issues resolve themselves. And finally,please don’t worry about the small stuff, the next day it sometimes doesn’t matter anymore. May God bless you and your marriage and positions in the family. You are equal with your wife but with different roles. God bless. Chris, Perth, Australia.

I wasn't raised in a church so this was never in my household my mother raised me with help from my dad here and there. To now be a Christian man I know that I fall short on many things and this is one of them. I need to learn how to lead my family I need to learn how to love my wife and I need to have empathy towards my wife who is my best friend. The fact that a lot of us have not been taught this at all so trying to grasp it at a later age Is difficult but also attainable.

Smartness is important in a relationship and cyberhackinggenius helped cloned my husband’s phone and I got access to all his dealings both on phone and social media without touching his phone. All I did was share my husband’s phone number with cyberhackinggenius and I was able to read both his new and deleted messages from my phone without having to touch his phone. My husband was a cheating Narcissist and I’m glad to find out all his secrets and infidelity with the help of cyberhackinggenius. I’m here in UK and able to access my husband’s phone messages with a link on my phone even while he was away in Canada cheating on me. I got to discover that my husband who is legally married to me here in UK is also recently married to another woman in Canada and I’m finally going through a divorce with lots of evidence against him. I read all his Whatsapp, Facebook,Skype,Instagram and Snapchat messages Including the deleted text and recent messages. This is so good. I’m trying to step more into my role as the head of the household right now - a role I should have stepped into from the beginning - and this gives me a great perspective on what the true driving force behind it is. It’s not about being domineering - it’s about leading spouses and children to Christ in every circumstance.

Wonderful teaching on this neglected subject. The problem with us men is that we have been programmed by society as family economic providers. Consequently, we have neglected our role as family spiritual leaders, but are quick and willing to minister to the outside world while our own families are starving for the Word. Why is that? Are we being enticed by celebrity status bestowed by society? Charity begins at home. A man of God's leadership skills are honed at a family level.

Think about our education: indoctrination into a secular worldview, less pursuit of a biblical worldview, thus we always lean to the secular. How many of us read thru the Bible? Better yet how many of us read thru the Bible with our families. How many have weekly family devotions? I believe if we did we would get exactly what he’s saying. I like you wish someone had urge me to do this!

You can't force a wife to submit, cos submission is not by force it has to be done willingly. When a wife LOVE the Lord God with all her beings she will willingly submit to Him and to her husband as unto the Lord. Our submissions to our own husbands is come by our LOVE for God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. 😊 To LOVE the LIVING God is to OBEY His word, "wives submit to your own husband as unto the Lord" is what the word of the Living God have command. 😊

@@A.J.ChambersCompany you thinking that you can force anything is a clear sign of being an abuser.....that is not the way of a real man. You can't force anything, it is a choice everyone has to obey the Lord. And if you think it's okay to be harmful to a woman to get your way, then you are wrong and in sin for being abusive. If a woman isn't wanting to be the way she is called by the Lord to be, then she is not right to be anyone's wife. But that is not for any man to force upon her either. If you want to even be worthy of a righteous woman, then you must first be a righteous man that leads with LOVE. Or you will reap what you sow, and no woman will ever respect you because of your narcissistic abuse. Does that make sense?..

When I met my husband it forced me to learn how to submit (it was easy but it wasn't). I grew up without a father (he's stuck in his addiction, has been since before I was born.) My mother was extremely overbearing and domineering. I thought the idea of submitting to ANY man was beyond degrading. Then I met my husband and for some reason submission felt natural. It felt like a natural role I had to take on and I was HAPPY to because he did the same. He took on his role as the Head of our household and he takes it very seriously. He strives everyday to grow in his relationship with the Lord so that he may become a better servant and a better leader to me and our future children. I thank God for bringing him into my life everyday. Not just because I love him to death but because he helps me grow everyday to be a better servant to the Lord and woman of God.

Jillian Shene So true. Fluff messages have invaded the church. People just want to hear how God is going to pour "blessings" on them, and the preachers oblige. No one wants substance anymore. This was definitely a great Word.

4 years later and this is still relevant if not more so now in 2021. The church is still absent on this teaching absent on suffering as a Christian, persecution because you believe and a list so long I don't think we could list it all. Men have either given away their place or lost their place in the home and in society and so feminized they don't know how to stand in the gap or lead the family. Biblical teaching in the US has long been absent so we could have the best numbers on a board in the front of the church on a quarterly or annual report. We have allowed our teachings to be compromised for the sake of not offending anyone or "stepping on anyones toes" Godly Fear has been replaced by God's love and that's the only attribute we know. Sorry to rant on but we need more Preachers and Men of God like this who will take a stand and lead their families, in their church, and in their government. If we are absent the world will establish their rule over God's in a heart beat.

I think the mutual submission, is both submitting to Christ. The man is to be led by Christ who teaches leadership, the woman is led by Christ in learning respect for her husband. I think many Christian woman are rebelling against headless husband's who aren't really being led by Christ. Some men are building their own kingdom and not God's. Preachers need to point this out. We are losing our children to the world because our men and not leading their children and teaching them.
@stephz4235 ай бұрын
I agree it is mutual submission and the two are to serve each other with kindness, appreciation and love, not with the expectation. I am a woman who believes men are the head of the household, but when a man says he has final say in ALL decisions I disagree. If I have to work and want to buy a rug for the kitchen floor where I stand much of the day, why does he get the final say?

I believe that some men take this head thing too extremely to the point of using it to verbally, physically and emotionally abuse their wives. Even though they preach to their wives and speak kindly to others but they are deceitful man. I am speaking this way because this is what my ex-abuser ex-husband used to do to me. He would tell me how to dress and how I should ask but he never wanted to change and continued to do these evil deeds to me. I would obey him but when I noticed that I was the only one who would do things and he did not want to stop abusing me, this is when I said...Enough is enough! I will Not accept your abusive behavior anymore. I am done!! Because he had abused me for 33 years.

I go to a semi-conservative mega church ⛪ in Dallas and I would never hear this message preached. The only thing I hear in my church about male headship is a very prominent Marriage Pastor come preach at the church and say, "I was stupid and thank God for my wife".

Submitting to one another means "mutual support". God has set an order of relationships in marriage, yet he requires mutual respect and support.

My ex-abuser ex-husband would actually put his finger right on my face and out daughters' faces also. He would preach but was very abusive and never changed. I actually feel very sorry for him and of course for me as well because of who is coming to the world to judge all of us in the world.

I disagree with Voddy's vision of what the "clash" is between men and women, due to the fall. Submission to someone is different than "ruling over" someone. There is a different spirit about "ruling", which indicates superiority, and force. Submission is voluntary.

When a husband gets to know that the wife is a fellow sheep (sinner) both bought by the precious blood of Jesus, they will submit to one another, reasoning together
