okay, can I say something here? I love their nuzlocks. but while the LG deaths hurt, it was like a bee sting. painful, but short. the SS death were true tragedies just because of the lore that TFS put into the whole thing. I was always crushed when somebody was killed, and thinking "we've already lost too many friends, I DONT WANT TO LOSE ANY MORE!"

Honestly, I was the opposite. Yeah, the extra lore was nice for those nuzlockes, but I felt more connected to the LG ones than in SS and I haven't watched the Moon one yet because of spoilers. Lore doesn't cause me to care for creatures and even if they showed that they cared more for the pokemon in SS their connection to their pokemon isn't the same as mine. To me, the LG team was more genuine and natural. Also, the jokes in SS ended up feeling tired and old after while, esp. with Slomara and Ivan, both of which I was so happy for when they died. Ultimately, it's just a matter of preference and I just prefer LG over SS in terms of that nuzlocke's team.

+Diddy Kong I don't think that you can speak for everyone in regards to overleveling because I've always seen people talk about it. They try to lose as many as possible, true, but part of nuzlockes is the challenge and the threat of pokemon dying and overleveling kills that. They haven't always overleveled, but have done it a lot. They didn't really lie about playing on a gameboy because they started out playing on one, their save file just became corrupted and they had redo stuff on an emulator. They never one time said that they were playing on a gameboy after the incident. At worst it was a lie of omission and not the same thing as wiping and continuing as if nothing happened. Yeah, some people suspected it, but it wasn't nearly the concern that the issue of this nuzlocke was. I honestly didn't even notice people talking about it until the end.

+Diddy Kong like I said, some people cared, they just weren't as loud about it and there wasn't as many. The longer they did it the more people didn't like it and the more vocal they got about it. It's not complicated. Realistically, no one should care about any of this because it's just a game, but if people want to it's on them and no one can say what someone should or shouldn't care about. Their series is successful because people care so it really isn't a bad thing. If you don't care, that's fine, but don't begrudge people just because they do.

Really LeafGreen was pretty easy for u guys except for the first gym. That was really the only scary part of wiping. My favorite part was after the first gym Lani screams "Next stop the water gym!!" That made me laugh pretty hard as Striker was their only pokemon.

I did my first ever Nuzlocke in LeafGreen recently and came out with only five deaths! I guess LeafGreen and FireRed are just a little easier for Nuzlockes than most Pokemon games (although that's not set in stone, of course--A Petty Nuzlocke Challenge can attest to that). I'm sure that if I had chosen to Nuzlocke Sun/Moon, Black/White or something I'd have lost a lot more (heck, in BW, I'd almost definitely wipe to the Shining Bitch Elesa).

your right... But in talking they also seem keen on the idea of another slomara... and they still used (in fact cheated to get) slopoke in moon. And Melvin is an exception because good plot, and everyones hope he would die before getting his helmet! they really didnt "use" him in this run just pampered him. I just really think (like in any series ever) anytime you bring in old ideas they get stale fast [freeza]. Now if they can get the same pokemon and NOT link them to past versions that would be ok (again melvin was done well, but DAMN it would have been great if he too died before he evolved)

Yet they still have such an attachment to the pokemon of the SS nuzlocke that they make efforts to get repeats of them. +Michael Beaton I disagree that Melvin is good plot, it's just an old joke that should have died with Ivan in my opinion. I agree that it would have been great for him to die, but they made sure that that couldn't happen by not even putting it in against grass types and mostly using him to fill up a party slot. Honestly, I think he was terrible for the plot because he was joke the same joke that Ivan was and because he just filled up a slot that made it impossible for other pokemon to take it and allow lore to be made about them.
