I bet you'd never thought of action selection via LEAF TIPS! In this breezy game of becoming a divine manipulator of leaf arrangement, you will be selecting leaf shapes to add to the forest floor. You'll grow mushrooms and attract animals, and scamper up a tree -- all in a day's work to ultimately be the master of the forest and win on your mountain of acorns.

This is literally the theme of my view out the windows right now in our rural deep forest of Ontario, Canada. Heck, I've got raccoons right now eating birdseeds while squirrels try to navigate around them. Leaves are turning but still a lot of green. :)

Living in Portland and loving Grimm Forest and Wonderland’s War, this was an obvious day 1 back for me! Fun review, but I have a question about the rules - the kickstarter seems to show that you get an action for each leaf tip that you connect to. So when you placed a leaf that touched 2 points on 2 other leaves, that would have been 4 actions, I think? In your explanation, though, it seemed like this would give you only 2 actions, one for each leaf. Was this an error, or am I misunderstanding the rules? Or did they change after you did your preview?

Thanks Ralf!! Yes we won't rate a game in prototype form and we did have to film it prior to knowing anything about the campaign. It definitely had beautiful table presence. Thanks for taking the time to comment as always ☺️

Great review. This is the perfect game for me and my son. I have a question that I know you will appreciate, given how much you (we) like upgraded components. It seems to me that the wooden leaves pictured on the kickstarter page are a bit chunky/clunky, and for some reason to me, the idea of leaves falling etc. seems better suited to the thinner cardboard leaves. Totally random, bizarre, obsessive gamer question, but I know you will LMK your thoughts!!!

Always wonder if this might make a good game with kids but may be too subdued for kids.
