Leaf spring removal in the 73 vette. pt1

Doesn't crushed bushings over such a short period of time indicate an incorrect spring arch?

Improper compounds in the material would be my guess. I've bought a set of urethane for the 80 and the 73 at the same time and they just crumble in 5 years. Then got rubber ones for both but just put them on my 73 and the ones on the 80 are cracking after a year. Just a bad design if mine crack again I'm going back to the aluminum washers I made I couldn't notice any ride difference and they didn't wear out.
