As far as the receipt from your Grandfather I would frame it. One of my best friends pasted away. She had hand written a recipe that my whole family loves , my Mom had it framed for me . That meant a lot to me . 🙏

Put it in a picture frame. When you are feeling blue you can look at it and smile because it reminds you of your grandfather. Its a complete mood changer. 🙂🙂

You could put hooks in your garage to hold dustpan. Ladders. Hose pipes. You could also buy a pegboard to put above his tool station. Hang tools up you use all the time. Draw round them paint within the lines. Hang the tools. Then if one goes missing you will know and know where it belongs. Great job doing the rooms. They all look so much better. We'll done

Something that helped me with paint is when I was done with a room I would pour the paint that was left into a jar, label it and put it up in the back of the closet shelf or in my laundry room cabinet and throw the can out. Cans take up too much space, they rust and dry out. Also when I have bigger amounts of paint left I mix them and use them to paint closets or a room.

I love that this is very realistic. For most people it does take a month or even months to get through a project like clearing out the garage. I know mine will take that long as well. Thank you for keeping it super realistic!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🤩💕

After seeing your need for sentimental items, being an archivist I would say buy an archival box large enough for your lettermans jacket and a photos are best stored laying flat in archival file folders and always take a digital copy but my luck that has always disappears and store in a dark and above 5 feet high, away from any water source.

So kind of random here but there are places you can take a signature, like your grandfathers from the receipt and make it into something. I made a bracelet for my Aunt after my uncle died of "Love, your husband Will" signature from a letter he wrote her. Maybe you could make a small engraving or metal cut of it to just place in front of a photo of him on a shelf or something. Maybe that's too much but seeing those things they touched that were uniquely theirs every day also moves me.

ahahaaa!!!! Nokia! my first cell was a little frosted blue Samsung flip phone with the antenna and t9 typing.. Yukon Territory Canada didn't get cell service until sometime in 1997.. As far as sentimental stuff like the receipt from your grampa i say keep it and have an album or binder wit the full page slips to hold it in.. maybe you've found a way i mean this is from two years ago video haha.. as we speak my Gramma Mable is in palliative care so we are dealing with knowing she will pass any day now and i'm of course devastated, so seeing this about your grampa today (i've been subscribed to you for over a month) gives me the feels.. which is good.. i've started over a few times in my life from a duffle bag so many things that were precious like that have been lost.. i just would like to thank you for being here Shannon.. your videos have been helping with my own mental and physical health and are really really relatable.. i appreciate you and this channel.. cheers from northern Canada!! 💜💙🥰😎👍

Shannon and Steven! (I hope I spelled them right 😳😬). The garage looks amazing!!! I just recently moved across country (Idaho to New York), lived in a hotel for a little over 2 months until we closed on our house, moved into the house but had to wait over a week for new flooring (the old was so bad), most of our stuff has been sitting in our garage cause of that.... but finally!!! Walls are painted and floors are done and we are finally moving in and setting up the house. This gives me such motivation to get some projects done today!! Thank you so much for sharing! I know it was hard work and very time consuming for you guys but it looks awesome!! I hope you have been doing good and taking care of yourself. It nice to see your smiling and laughing with your husband. Take care!! I’m off to work on some projects!! Whoop whoop!!

Way to go!!! When I purged our house I essentially followed the KonMari method. Sentimental items were put together in a big box. I still have not gone through it all. It takes a lot of mental and emotional energy. My first phone was a Nokia 6100 in 2001 when I started college. It was the first one with a phone. This one I have now is the first iPhone I have ever owned (a 6s). Before that I had a Nokia windows phone.
