Honest question: does this even crack the top 10 most disappointing LCS performances? There have been 8 MSI tournaments before this one, and if 4 of them the LCS 1st seed finished below PCS/LMS. This result is not in any was surprising for a 2nd seed, and would be par for the course for a 1st seed. Meanwhile at Worlds you have the TSM 0-6 and the 9 man sleep in 2020, all 3 NA teams going 1-5 in 2022, GG in 2023 not even making it to play-ins bc they lost 3-0 to the LEC 4th seed, also in 2023 TL finishing bottom 2 in Swiss by losing to GAM, 2019 and 2020 having 0 teams in top 8 in back to back years... this is not worse than any of that, not even close to most of it. The only way this is a meaningful disappointment is if you think PCS is just another minor region on par with CBLOL and LLA, which is obviously not true.

Being an NA fan has never been harder. Academy gone, LCS reduced to 8 teams, funding dried out, internationally a joke (GG vs BDS and FLY vs PSG), Dash and Phreak gone, TSM and CLG gone. This has nothing to do with the LCS I started watching in 2014

I think it’s more that in the past LCS brought in so much talent that when it started to head down when the same few players became main stays did it become the dark age with na LCS. Everyone in the LCS just keeps saying for pros that streaming gives them more money and they would rather do that. Such a waste for players and talent because na is greed.

For me it was how they just Mentally boomed and put up zero fight FlyQuest put against PSG . At least with other NA teams they fight till the end even if they are already eliminated mathematically. To roll over and never even seem like they wanted to work as a team the ENITRE series is shameful for a team who talked so big and were at one point the number 1 team for NA is just disgusting.

Relax guy, not the first time an LCS team has gotten trounced at an international event by a Chinese team. No need to blow things out of proportion, just an average NA international showing. You expecting FLY to perform any better than they did is more egregious than their record breaking performance to be honest.

Yes maybe but flyquest really dig their own grave by Trask talking to lcs just to get bomed in msi tl players are right there ego way to high for there talent

culture diff. 1 example is Jensen who doesnt watch other regions' games. just dont have the drive to win because it is much easier to just collect salary. NA is doomed.🤣🤣🤣🤣

The three players are considered imports in lpl and native to pcs Betty and maple started out in lms/pcs only junjia really started his pro career in lpl.

Remember, NRG beat G2 at worlds. Just like that doesn’t mean NA is better than Europe, this loss doesn’t mean NA is worse than the minor regions. NA is fourth, not fifth and not third. Despite occasionally winning against Europe and occasionally losing to a minor team.
