I didn't realize the anti-synergy with berserker and guardian when I picked them. The guardian hits when you attack, so you can't get the 3x max hit with mage anymore, you only get 1x.

Solid breakdown. 28:38 sums up my biggest gripe with the game not just in leagues, but the main game as well. This makes sense when you know how south west tile works, but if you don't you're SOL because it's not mentioned anywhere in any game tutorials let alone the relic info itself. I feel the same way about tick manip, combo eats, pray flicking, etc. Jagex has been making efforts to get people who otherwise wouldn't boss into bossing, but one of the biggest barriers is designing content around weird game code that you'd only be aware of by reading the wiki or watching a video. Maybe this is something they're looking to tackle with the Varlamore updates, but until then there's a solid chunk of players who get roadblocked because they're unwilling to seek out info not provided in-game or just aren't aware that they need to and avoid content in the future. Bit of a tangent, but I came over from RS3 where this is even worse and over times it splits the player base.

A note for Undying retribution, if you die to a mechanic that last a while and do instant big damage, you will be instantly dead after you revive as you do not get invincible frame. For example, if you die to the Gauntlet's tornado, you will instantly die after you revive because tornado is on you.

I think the combo of soul stealer and range relic is really underrated. The fact that bolt procs can trigger soul stealer makes it really strong. Half of the time ruby bolt specs won't hurt me and restore 10 prayer, I can zcb spec with onyx bolts and insta heal to full etc

The 100% accuracy and max hit on Berzerker is amazing for a couple extra reasons - for off-style training, and as a budget weapon master. For training, just gear up in your best off-style gear and find the most densely populated npc with hitpoints just under your max hit and mow through them. For the budget weapon master, there are a few instances where you'd really like a spec to land (for me personally, dwh at Tekton and Olm melee hand) and having that first guaranteed hit will be incredible.

I picked soul stealer and it ABSOLUTELY does change your game plan. Since I picked the relic, I have never sipped a single dose of prayer potion. You will literally never need to. Even with my off styles I still gain more prayer points back than I use with both an offensive and defensive prayer active!

i picked fire sale, but bank note is still useful for anything gathering related, multiple skills like runecrafting, mage training arena, and slayer since you can note drops. it definitely isn't useless, you just won't be using it as much for the purpose of brining infinite food and prayer pots into raids @@blommeeee

@doubleshine Something that was missed in the video about guardian -- it is 2-tickable. The effective dps increase doing this raises from 3 to about 7.5 per second, or more. It's VERY sweaty and click intensive, but if you click the horn while in combat every other tick it will cycle the guardian's attacks at 2.5x speed.

There is a minor downside for Berserker as it first hit is ignore magic accuracy, that means if you want to afk splash to train magic, you either need to do it before tier 7 or find a comfortable mob that have higher hp than your max hit.

I think what a lot of people miss is the synergies between the relics. You gotta have a build planned and shouldn't just pick a relic because that specific one sounds good. The hard part about this league is that multiple builds are good meaning there is really no "meta". Makes me wanna make like 3-4 accounts, but probably won't have time for that lol

I really love using Soul Stealer with ranged. My ruby bolts proc like crazy and that lifesteal makes me able to camp ruby bolts the entire fight without healing or sipping prayer pots.

When I hit tier 7 I still hadn't decided. But I wanted that x16 xp and x8 points, badly. So my decision was kinda hasty. I'm going mage so weapon master seemed kinda bad, but it would be really nice for my offstyle, just dds everything to death. I really don't want to sit at low HP, but the free max hits sounded nice, too. But picking a relic that I was barely going to utilize felt bad. So I just kinda went with the safest option in Soul Stealer, knowing I'll probably regret it eventually. And yeah, now I'm scrambling to get a trident after learning it doesn't proc on multitargeted attacks... even in single combat areas. Your barrages dont proc it, period. Doesn't matter that you're not doing any splash damage, your highest max hit spell does not proc soul steaker, period. I thought there was a chance it would work like that, but I'm kinda bummed out about it. That pain will all go away once I get my trudent. Already blew through my entire slayer point stash trying to get a kraken task and still no luck! Ah well. I did get a whip pretty quick while rebuilding slayer points. So that's cool.

berserker is a really good relic for people who enjoy special attacks imo. You dont overuse them like you will with special master, but you still get to max hit on a lot of specs where htis matter. BGS to start a fight, BP for gwd minions, or BP/SGS specs for anything in inferno, list goes on.

Interesting thing with dragon claws and the special attack: if I’m not misreading it, the 100% accuracy should make it so you are guaranteed the 4-2-1-1 hit chain. Meaning it’s a guaranteed 100-200%, kind of like a souped up voidwaker

Note for SS: it does NOT increase your minimum hit to where you never miss, it just makes it to where if you get a hit and only roll a 1-2 or 3 hit splat itll bring it up to 10% of your max. You can still miss hits with this relic. it's a big misconception, and is definetely not just a flat 10% damage increase across the board.

Sorry, so many comments. For non-mage relic users, berserker is phenomenal because it guarantees a freeze. It’s super good at GWD to make all the bosses except Kree do nothing to you by the time you kill them

I've had a lot of fun so far with weapons master, once I got a sgs I can basically endlessly spam guaranteed 50s every 3 ticks, grinding all the gwd bosses became very easy. Can't wait to get claws and other fun spec weps though

Soul Stealer with Knives/Darts is pretty fun with range relic. I get more prayer back then im spending using a deflection prayer + the 20% ranged prayer, really useful for slayer.

I am a melee relic with Soul Stealer and Guardian. My Guardian is the only reason I was able to farm off-style stuff like Arma, Akka, etc. Soul Stealer is one I wish I could switch though. The heal/restore is ass on bosses where you have low accuracy or need to eat food/brew. Imo, the only people that think Soul Stealer is really good are the ones that did not pick it...

To kind of simplify the math for Berserker vs Soul Stealer. SS is, for practical, easy math purposes, an 11% damage increase by the time you get to it. Berserker is, for easy math purposes, a 100% damage increase on the first hits. If you are ranged or mage, and hit two times at the max hit at the start of a fight, and we assume you never get any bonus at all from the Berserker low health passive, that means any fight that takes less than 18 successful hits to end, will be better for Berserker, and anything that takes longer will be better for SS. Melee its 9 hits for the break even. For any at-range build, it very much is a preference between wanting to get extra damage from lower health, or getting effectively infinite prayer.

Berserker also allows you to bypass accuracy check, so depending on the monsters defence its even way more than 100% damage boost on your opening hits.

Berserker and retribution work well Take hits until your low. Anything you didnt kill with ur boosted damage kills u - then retribution procs and u reset.

So executioner here, and theres a massive downside people dont consider. If you want to raid with your friends, you'll mvp literally EVERY single raid and room, resulting in you typically doing double everyone else's damage, meaning you get almost every purple. Sounds great, until people dont want to raid with you anymore and you're stuck raiding with randoms or solo. Also, you can skip healers and P3 Verzik enrage even in HMT

I took elf and soulstealer was a godsend for corrupted gauntlet. I hardly needed to do any prep at all and would take 4 food into the boss, half the kills I wouldn't even need to eat any of them. Also it's great if you didn't take the farming relic because you have way less dependency on making potions all the time. I kill muspah or leviathan and get an infinite stream of ranging and restore potions for content where I actually need them like inferno.

Ancient magics with Berserker makes Soul Stealer a dead pick, just blood barrage a full hp enemy and get quaranteed healing. If you picked magic as your combat relic (obvious if you have desert), you can get two to three max hit blood barrages off.

I ended up going ranger with berserker and undying after a lot of thought. I was gonna maybe take guardian but hearing how it can mess up the first 2 hits and thinking that overtime my off styles will get stronger for toa it seemed solid. If guardian coulda taken agro or something like I was expecting at first it coulda been more interesting but flat dps increase just didn't seem as fun. A solid choice for sure but I like doin weird combos in leagues. Anyways the combo has been fun, just wish the aoe was a little bit bigger for some of the bigger mobs but ah well, the save and heal is really what I took it for, landing funny dmg sometimes is just a nice perk.

I think one thing worth considering for guardian is how bad your off specs are. Particularly for melee, it feels like I've put the game on hard mode so for things like Warden phase 2 where I'm hitting 9's on mage the guardian can help me pick up the slack. Kree right now is downright awful for melee, and the guardian helps me out immensely there

A 10% increase to min hit is a 5% increase to average damage and a 20% increase to min hit is a 10% increase in average damage. Before any rounding of course. Correction: it is in the ideal case a 10% damage increase, but most of the time it will be worse than that because of how rounding works in OSRS presuming it follows the general trend of the game that everything rounds down.

no, its not. Because your normal successful hits in game can roll a 0, but soulstealer eliminates that possibility, its much stronger than it seems. Its at minimum a 10% increase, and it scales down as you ger stronger. If it could still roll 0, it would be exactly a 10% increase. As an example, if you had a max hit of ten, your hits would roll between 0-10, and an average hit without the relic would be 5 (55/11, because you can still hit for 0). A roll with the relic would only hit from 2-10, for an average hit of 6 (54/9, as you can no longer hit for 0). Same for higher hits, if your max hit were 50 without the relic your average hit would be 25 (1275/51) and with the relic would be 28.1 (1265/45), an 11% increase.

Spamming ZCB with Wep Master and Executioner is broken to the point you can kill 90% of bosses in the game several times faster than any build because of spec spamming until you can throw your axe. It is very high intensity so keep that in mind and you'll be going through thousands of karambwans. Berserker for range is good, it's just a lot riskier with ruby bolt procs damaging. But if you go the twisted bow route, I could definitely see it as a viable build. @@red0death1

I heard using executioner axe on raid bosses, such as wardens as you suggest, robs you of all points for the kill. Infernal gathering is *only* worth it if you don't take pp. There's an anti synergy there where faster processing is pointless if things are processed on collection. Infernal gathering goes best with either harvest for pure afk 50 mils or Trickster to round out the skills you can address.

You need to eat less but you still need to eat, it doesn't restore over 25 hp on average. If you also have ruinous powers and bankers note you can use the metabolize prayer in combination with your endless karambwan stack tho and you will barely lose ticks to eating

Playing the devil's advocate here for T7 soul stealer. If you have banker's note, this relic will fall off in usefulness the more you play in leagues. I know there's quite a few pvm newbies that are trying to use leagues to learn pvm, then you should probably pick weapon master or berserker. They are probably better by the time you do raids.

Man, knowing what I know now I regret going melee. I thought the 50% would be damage reduction, not just defensive stats. You can still get 1 shot by everything with the melee relic so it's pointless to pick it. So only go melee if you're going for the Door build. I wish I had just gone full damage with ranged or magic. Also Berserker turns out to be insane on mage with the triple max hit which looks really fun. Learning ToA with the ancient sceptre in KDF would be nice.

i'll just say im running undying with ranged and DO NOT TAKE UNDYING unless you want to learn content. I can't stress this enough. the damage bugs a lot of the time with 1 on 1 combat with bosses. its only real value is a 2nd life so you aren't punished in raids or inferno

Depends on your T7 relic, berserker goes really well with undying because you want to stay at a low hp and that gives you a safety net

Just want to say, I hope you all enjoy this leagues, I had a lot of fun, pretty much got most tasks up to items and then I basically quit, went hundreds of kc dry on every GWD boss, haven't received a single upgrade in equipment, so I quit and went back to main game. I hope you all have better luck, I can't stress myself out. The 5x drop rates are 1000% a lie, this is for them to push content through content creators, their is ABSOLUTELY 100% GUARANTEED NOT A DROP RATE MODIFIER FOR NORMIES LIKE MYSELF. I am telling you this as someone with more than 1k gwd boss kc total dry. It's totally fake. This is for content creators, fucking Carlyle group wants to sell Jagex for a whopping 1bil/record high amount and are doing this to push the game. Sad they made the best league a gimmick in terms of the items, oh ya, 25 cox kc dry, I am less dry in main game w/ over 2k cox kc.

The soul stealer relic is complete trash do not take it, base barrage attack in singles combat does not proc heal at all. You have to use inferior spells to see any benefit. Its only good with the trident and shadow.
