My main mistake was picking Reloaded for dodgy deals instead of golden god, i realized far too late that golden god solved way more problemas than dodgy deals for me, but at that time it was too late...

I picked EQ and it got me 85 agility afk in four hours and saved about 20% of the time I spent training all other skills. That sounds nice, but I had to crawl up to T7 relics with no potions. Then I had to take overgrown for T7 to have potions, and now I still have barely any red spider eggs and bird nests. In retrospect, I should've double dipped and taken FF and had freedom in T7. The ~20 hours I saved with EQ can't be written off completely but my biggest gripe with it is that it doesn't give anything. Levels are nice but the final products from skilling are important too, and EQ didn't help with that. It helped me more than GG would have, but FF and dodgy deals both seem so much better than EQ that if I made a new leagues account I would 100% pick those two.

I think Mod Arcane put it best, saying "Equilibrium is the Marmite of Relics, you either hate it or love it." You can definitely see this in this comment section

I've never chosen equilibrium but looks really fun and have always wanted to try it out. Can you showcase some methods and the exp rates? Maybe stars/duke minging. And I bet underwater theiving would be good too, lot of small exp drops. isnt there a bike on blast furnace that gives afk strength exp? Might be worth checking out. The ess dropping and craft 1 at a time sounded cool too would like to see that in action. What kind of exp rates were you getting at forestry?

Equilibrium is objectively weaker than a flat 2x mult and I wouldn't take a flat xp bonus as that's the most boring concept ever (I skipped the 2x final mastery in Leagues 1). I don't play for xp, I play for PvM and Equilibrium does nothing to engage with what I enjoy about the game. The micromanaging aspect you mentioned is an active downside that sounds incredibly tedious to me. I like to pick a skill and complete it in one or two sessions, and constantly skill swapping is very annoying to me. I've played every league with multiple builds so I could experience all the game mode had to offer and I'm still never going to take Equilibrium. Easy skip.

The first year i didnt pick this relic. I always loved it for skilling. Golden god is all hype and trash imo and reloaded is good but i think equilibrium wouldve been better

i would trade my golden god for equilibrium... but i don't know if i would still like equilibrium but this is my first time picking a money making relic and im not really liking it, one of my favorite aspects in osrs is money making and budgeting for skills etc... so next time im going to avoid any money making relics.

Come on, everyone. Different people find different things fun! Some people find picking strong relics fun. Other people find huffing copium until they pass out fun. Different strokes for different folks!

I picked equilibrium last year and enjoyed it a lot. This year however, having maxed, for me it doesn't weighs up to the convenience of dodgy deals + friendly forager. Especially since Kandarin with its herb patches got shafted. There were definitely some very hard choices this year when picking relics though and equilibrium is up there! It just didn't quite make it. For my personal gameplay preferences anyway. E.g. thieving in FMT would have been hell without dodgy deals and I'm not a big fan of sepulchre. If it works for you though, it does give a lot of (constant) value.

It's definitely good if you're not picking up production prodigy and/or overgrown.

production master + equilibrium carried me to max last league

i found that using equilibrium and doing barbarian fishing is a really good way to level agility (and i guess strength). normally you get like 10 agility xp per fish but with equilibrium you could be getting like 200-500 depending on your total level. it enables a super afk way to train agility which doesnt really have any afk methods. it was really nice

In my regions of ZAF, there's no point in EQ. Every skill is already solved with my other relics and GG, minus RC and Fletching. If it replaced Corner Cutter, I think it'd be a much better relic.

I also disagree with the criticism that the relic is 'unfun'. my criticism of the relic is that it does not scale with the 16x league multiplier. I think the only way the relic gets the value of a full relic slot is if it allocates the xp to your lowest skill (not just the one being trained). If they fix that, I think it will very much be a contender for pretty much any tier it's placed in.

I chose Golden God and if I could redo, I'd probably choose Equilibrium instead. My hatred for mining is made easier by just choosing the relic that makes it much faster

Im still grateful i went reloaded. Animal wrangler + Dodgy deals + friendly Forester has been a VERY fun, and very DOABLE combo. Magic was solved from using magic until tier 5 range, Prayer is solved from having varlamore.. bankers note + slayer master is so OP. So I basically have unlimited potions, easy ways to max hunter, slayer, prayer, range, mage, crafting is solved with dodgy deals, money is solved with alchs from slayer. Now im just chilling.

How are you going to start out a video saying Equilibrium is so good when your prayer level is 85??? People were getting 99 prayer on like day 1 or 2 with Golden God.

As someone who took golden god on his first account and then experimented with equilibrium on his second, I can say from personal experience golden god in my opinion is by far the strongest of the 3 (bearing in mind i took both tirranwn and fremmenik so i had a stonemason and needed 250m to buy a crystal crown) I have had a lot of fun with equilibrium and think it ranks second in the tier 4 relics, I can definitely say i haven't regretted taking golden god at any point but there are points i have regretted taking equilibrium. I still think reloaded is the bait skill of tier 4. You really don't need it.

I’ll be honest, I got it on a previous league without understanding it properly and was massively disappointed. In leagues you can train any skill easy enough and it’s just not worth it over golden god (most OP relic of the league) or even reloaded for a second t1/2 relic

Completely agree. I picked EQ on my first account and it was the gift that kept giving. Unlocked some good training methods and sped up some of the worst grinds. After I hit dragon, I started a new account and picked GG instead in that tier. It’s great for early points, but one day after getting it, it stopped affecting how I played. EQ definitely felt like the more fun relic choice despite all the memes about it being boring.

I'm sorry brother, but claiming it has shaped your game play more than things like Banker's Note or Total Recall is some of the most ridiculous cope I've ever heard in my life. Talk all you want, but all it does is add a slight buff to your xp an hour. In a mode where your xp has a 16x modifier. I'm glad you are enjoying it, but it just ain't that deep

They always put it on a tier that has other good choices though. I don't think it out competes forager unless you have a good region for your necessary combat potions (or are just magic gang)

Honestly, I love how well this either makes low-cost or low-intensity EXP methods scale much farther than expected, or makes it slightly (or VERY much) easier to bypass the early levels to get to the training methods you actually want to use for every single skill. It might not be buffed by Leagues XP multipliers, but that only devalues it in the later levels, IMO. Varlamore has got to be one of my favorite regions to proc Equilibrium at for this. Mixology, as you mentioned, is crazy Herblore value, but I also really like all the little drops we get in Neypotzli (Moons of Peril) as well. Thieving in Fortis is a nice little bonus too. I would also consider Production Master a viable combo with EQ to really feel just how fast rates can get. For instance, when I combo'd with Banker's Note, I spammed a stupid amount of Bronze Bars over at the anvil & shop near Tai Bwo Wannai into Bronze Bolts very quickly. Might not be as fast as Broad Bolts, but it's most certainly less expensive and more accessible if you're saving cash for something else and just need a quick Smithing or Fletching XP injection to snatch a level or two.

Dude there's so many posts on the subreddit that are some version of "Is there a good way to train ------ skill with these regions" and almost always my answer is "yes but only if you have EQ" I think the best part is that you don't have to worry about "solving" all of the skills with your relics. With the exception of RC without banker's note, they all feel much better.
