Thank you so much for your time again it has made me think now about having the software with my Q zone frame.

It is VERY addictive! Now I can't wait to come up with my own designs and start playing with motifs I create. Still just learning, but there is so much to do with this!

I love my q’nique 15R. It stitched beautifully right out of the box. Just bought QCT5. I watched tutorials on installs, much easier than books. Super easy setups when you consider what is going to be doing! Only issue was I needed to use the long per USB cable to keep the software from stopping in after about 200 stitches. But Grace Customer Service (Kimberly) is awesome!

Hi Leah. I just purchased the Qnique19 and the Creative Touch 5 Pro robotic software. Is the tablet you are using say it's 12.3 inches? Will that fit in the bracket? It says only 10 to 12 inches. thanks!
@LeahDay3 жыл бұрын
Here is the tablet I'm using - amzn.to/2YilekF This one is listed at 12.3 inches which I believe is the diagonal screen size. This fits my QCT bracket just fine.
@carlac49753 жыл бұрын
@@LeahDay ok. I called them and they said 12.3 is fine that it will actually hold up to a 14 inch tablet. I ordered a surface pro 7. I use a surface pro as my laptop so I'm familiar with them and thought that best since they have long battery life. Thank you for the reply!!!

This may seem like a pretty basic question , but is there a way to flip the triangle designs upside down, not in a panto, but a block?
@LeahDay4 жыл бұрын
Yes, this is a lot easier in QCT 5. They simplified the flipping / rotating stuff all into one screen.

We’re having trouble with the bobbin not picking up. If it does it gets hung on something and won’t release. If it does pick up and we try to sew, it tacks the fabric down about every 8 inches but doesn’t sew. Machine unthreads. We’ve had this machine set up for a month now and haven’t gotten to use it. Can you help us before we throw it out in the yard? I enjoy your videos. You explain things simply.
@LeahDay4 жыл бұрын
Any issues with the thread not pulling up is an issue with the needle. Please refer to your manual and make sure your needle is inserted with the eye facing between the machine handlebars. Also make sure the needle is inserted ALL the way up as high as it can go. If the needle isn't placed correctly, it cannot connect with the bobbin. I also have a video on my first stitches on the Qnique 21 here - freemotionproject.com/2019/05/first-stitch-out-on-the-grace-qnique-21-longarm.html The key to troubleshooting an issue is to take your time, remain calm and patient, and work on the problem one step at a time. If you are using QCT, stop. Do not use the software again until you can run the machine in Regulated Cruise or Regulated Precise without skipping.

Hello Leah, quick question. I bought a used system with QCT4. Do I re-register the same way? Is there any reason I cant just leave it as is or would it be best to make sure it is in my name.

Is there anything different you need to do to switch between computer guided and hand guided quilting? I’m planning to purchase one of these beauties later this year.
@LeahDay5 жыл бұрын
Nope. When you want to hand guide the machine, you simply tap the red toolbox and select "release machine" and the computer will disengage from the longarm. You can quilt, then tap the screen again to have the computer take back over. The only thing to watch out for is battery life on the tablet. If you're not going to use the computer for quilting, there's no reason to have it on and running the battery down.

What size needle for the qniquet 21. I just purchased a Qnique 15 R and I wanted to know what size you typically use for quilting on cotton?
@LeahDay5 жыл бұрын
I like to use a size 18 needle. I really struggled with thread breaks when I was using smaller needles.

My tablet updated and the QCT 5 has gone back to demo mode how do I reset back without re installing from scratch
@LeahDay3 жыл бұрын
Call your dealer or Grace Company for help! Tablet updates can cause issues, but it shouldn't have reset your software completely.

How do I download new designs on version 5

You'll need to contact Grace Company for help on this. I haven't tried it yet, so I'm not the best person to ask on this particular topic.
