Is there anything you can put in there to keep all the silt from coming down?
@Bill_N_ATX5 жыл бұрын
Don Burg , nope. It’s a natural process. The sand is washed down the creek whenever there is fast moving water. When the water slows down or stops in the pond the sand settles out. At best you can fight it to a stalemate by digging out the sediment every once in a while. You can do like they did and make a small pond are where the water slows down at all but the biggest floods. That catches the sand in that small pond so you don’t have to clean out the whole pond. This same thing happens even on the biggest lakes. It gets to the point that you might as well take out the dam since the silt has filled in the pond.
