I have sold my RTX 3090 and bought a RTX 4070ti Super. Overall it is a good card. The problem starts when I have played Indiana Jones and the great circle. That game is a VRAM hog.. I can not play it max settings with full RT, in UWQHD resolution without triggering VRAM limits. I have to lower settings or use DLSS, which looks quite dogshit compared to DLAA. I had already the RX6800 previously and I had a great experience. I might buy the RX 7900 XTX to try out since the prices in the used market (where I live, at least) seem to be going down.

Why? In RE series RT is pretty light (just 5% penalty on RTX cards and 10% on AMD cards), but still noticeably enhances visuals. Metro Exodus is another great example of decent RT implementation - even 4070 can run this game at 1440p w/o any issues. In SotTR, DD2 and SWJS RT is pretty easy to run too (GPU-wise).

I’m so glad I didn’t as Nvidia has shown its true colors, they are not for the gamers at all they are about MONEY. Nvidia said no frame gen can be done on 10,20,30 series. Meanwhile red team says it’s open source on the games that support it, that HURT I’m sure 😂 incompetence? No. Greed. That being said. @@BrianSkinny-n5f I have given team red way to many changes. And they always were dissapointing. People just don't want to see the reality. They buy AMD have crappy exp and just tell themselves it does not happen. I had a 5700XT, 6800XT 7900XT and a couple of other cards. Every time i bought them was happy because of the price. Ten was happy to be able to sell the cards. Always driver issues, video card messages with driver time-out and reset to default. Happend to me countless time. With Nvidia i never had any issue. Same with Ryzen cpu's. Having 2 ccd's and Windows is always chosing wrong. Very inconsistent performance. AMDip...also one thing that is very prominent. Buying AMD with ddr5? Going back to the 70's with booting times. 30 to 45 seconds before mem timing is done if using EXPO! And AMD advises EXPO to be turned on on their website. I know that all for own real experience...not BS crap you fanboys tell eachother. Now running a 14700KF and it runs great. XMP on takes 10 sec to get a boot signal instead of 30 to 45 sec! And as a tweaker i set my 14700KF in perfect conditions. Undervolted and VID limited to 1.275 volts. Does not reach over 80c in heavy benchmarks. During gaming it is between 50 and 60c. Cinebench r23 33500 points multi with 183 watts power use! During gaming usually between 50 and 60 watts. My Nvidia 4080 super is lightyears better then any AMD card i ever had. Their cards are on a whole another level. Especially the software/drivers. Everything just works! G-Sync works flawlessly with every game, DLSS makes the game look better with more fps. And not to forget the raw Rasterization power. The overall feeling is much better, the games feel more responsive, more smooth. Radeon GPU's on the other hand have many driver issues. Games feel choppy, you have stuttering, you have screen tearing despite freesync. And in most cases freesync does not even work. The game crashes or hardlocks the entire pc with activated freesync. Don't know man, had so many issues with amd cards. I was wasting more time trying to run a game than actually play it. But not so with Nvidia, it just works!

I think you need minimum 850w for 7900XTX
@Audiosan795 сағат бұрын
With that CPU and a 7900XTX, you are right on the limit for a 750W. I would reccomend a 850W. A nice rule of thumb is: CPU power draw (around 110W in this case) + GPU powerdraw (around 360 without messing with powerlimit. around 415W with the limiter at max) +200W for the rest of the system and some headroom is the minimum.

Just buy what you want to afford. enjoy and you're done. You can buy a lot of things for a certain amount of money. Some people buy a bottle of wine or an expensive piece of tuna for 3000 dollars. Others buy a small used plane for $3,000, or a pair of sneakers, a stone for 3000 dollar.. etc. For some this is crazy and incomprehensible, for others quite normal. We are people with different wishes and possibilities 🤷

I think what Nvidia did with ray tracing and path tracing is akin to what triple AAA studios do with their games today. They release it when it's not ready for the end user and they charge you a premium for "early access." I'm sure those lighting techniques will be great when we actually have hardware capable of running it without a huge performance loss and more games in which it actually makes a noticeable difference. But as of now it still feels like a gimmick.

The real question is what else will release in 2025 forward that I won't be able to play? Because everything released this year runs since you have last gen GPU :D. I'm still playing on 2080 with Lossless and i run dragon age veilgiard in 180 frames, star wars survivor 210, gow ragnarock 190-200 etc. and all in 1440p, but i really want to change the GPU 😂

i ordered a 7900XTX Nitro + for 700eur including VAT (its returned and unpackaged), still waiting for it because of christmas holidays but the upgrade from my 5700XT Nitro+ is going to be great also the argument of DLSS, AMD will in time improve FSR so that it would be as good as DLSS. RT? i can barely see a difference in some games but i can surely see the difference in performance with and without RT

I have a red devil 7900xtx, custom watercooled . it looks awesome and runs amazing. I love it and didn't spend 1 thousand ,2 thousand or more dollars for it. I dont have a 46"4k oled $8000 monitor so ray tracing at 4k settings is not on my priority list. I've had ZERO issues with the card or the games I play. AMD does ray tracing well it's just not as fast as nvidia's $2500 flagship...for that much money you can have a KILLER custom pc with a graphics card fast enough to run any game you play at over 60fps. We don't HAVE to pay thousands just for a graphics card that in NVIDIA's eyes will be obsolete in 2 years.

Why should any gamer be brand loyal? Screw that, I have X amount of money for part Y and certain expectations about what part Y should be capable of for what I pay. Intel, AMD, nGreedia I don´t care just like Gigabyte, MSI etc. .

I think you're missing one component in your pricing estimate, the market is projected to slow largely by the 3rd quarter of 2025, it's been the estimated recession will affect Americans the hardest. If anything that will mean spending power will be at it's lowest, as it will cost more to survive than the spend on non-essentials. If the tech companies don't want to face the same layoffs as gaming companies did in 2023-2024 they would have to adjust for it.

Vast majority of people playing PC games are on low end hardware that are generations old. They can't afford the high price of Nvidia products tbh. AMD and intel has competitive prices for low end and mid range GPUs that plays very well for 1080p and 1440p max graphics with high frame rate on native resolutions. Hell 1080p and 1440p monitors are very cheap and affordable now, you can get a good one with curve, HDR, freesynch, 120-180hz refresh rate for under $200 now. So $120-$200 monitor + $260-$330 GPU is a great pairing. Plus AMD has insanely good gaming CPUs for cheap, AM4 5700X3D $180 or less plus any B550 motherboard or $90 and DDR4 32GB RAM for $52 is crazy good. Put it all on a $90 750watt power supply and you are good to go. Thermalright ARGB 3 fans for $17 and Thermalright Peerless assassin 120 CPU cooler $30 and $60-$80 PC case and its a complete build for $1000 with a RX 7600XT, you can play 1440p max graphics for long while.
