Leaking Transmission axle - Wrx Axle seal replacement

In Today's Video, We replace the Driver axle seal due to a leak we had by the transmission.

I have several questions. 1) why not just undo lca ball joint so car doesn't have to get an alignment for the camber being throw out by taking the McPherson strut off. 2) if I'm not mistaken, the transmission, center diff, and rear diff are all separate parts, so it confuses me when you dropped the gear oil out the center diff but said your about to refill the transmission?

No problem, I’m happy to address both questions 💯 1. I should’ve explained that the alignment wouldn’t matter to me, because I was going to replace my rusted LCA with Sti LCA with a bump steer kit. So my alignment was going to get thrown off regardless. 2. I didn’t drop the oil from the center it was from the front but I did have a bad angle since we work out of the garage with Jack stands so my apologies Appreciate the questions and support 🙏🏽

How often do seals need replacing? Mine just failed after 15 years
