My apology for my previous comment. I TRIED THIS...because you're right...NO EXCUSES! Even though I failed over and over again, I felt so good afterward. I have LONG HEAVY legs so I just had to FORGIVE MYSELF and do it anyway. Watching you is ASPIRATIONAL. I didn't mean to be negative, I'm challenging myself to do this three times this week...

I love these! I love that I can get a great burn in my legs while being in an otherwise comfortable position to read, watch TV, or study for finals (as is the case this week). Incorporating various of your videos (especially the shorter non-cardio ones) in between going through my notes for studying, and it helps keep my motivation up (and this one lets me multitask altogether since luckily the level of concentration for this exercise isn't enough to detract from actual revision lol). Thanks Alessia!

I just discovered your channel and I love your videos!!! You give so nice instructions and awesome exercises! This is the fifth video I'm watching...XD I love ballet, it's my passion, my dream. Unfortunately my body is too fat for ballet, especially my legs... You think this workout will help me?? How many times the week should I perform it? Again conrgatulations for your wonderful videos! Olin
@lazydancertips8 жыл бұрын
Hello Olin , welcome to the Channel ! I'm very happy i can be helpful and good to know i'm clear with the explanations ! First of all don't ever say you are too fat, the moment you work every day your body shape will change very easily ! You just need to be consistent and give yourself time. Nothing is achieved on the same day. All the workouts i have on the site will be very good for you, pick and choose different exercises to do everyday. Don't concentrate only on one part of your body, work on the rest of it as well. If you want to be a dancer you need to be strong everywhere :) one step at the time and lots of determination, which i believe you already have :) Remember that only few lucky ballet dancers were born with a ballet body, the rest of us had to work to change it. Keep going my darling and don't ever lose track of your dreams! I'll be waiting on updates ! Speak soon ! Ciao Alessia
@helga_kf8 жыл бұрын
Dear Alessia, You are so sweet... Thank you so much for the encouragement...it really means a lot. Well, I started ballet a bit late (at the age of sixteen I'm on intermediate level now). I work very hard but my body shape always makes me lose my motivation. And I use eating as a comfort. For example when I am really stressed or sad I always snack or overeat. I know I shouldn't, but I have such a hectic schedule that I need something.. to rely on. During summertime I lost 8 pounds but I'm starting already gaining them back. You are completely right about the whole body training. I just try to focus on my legs because it's the worst part. They make me feel awful. I hate to see myself through the mirror in the dance studio. I will update!! Thanks again for everything! Have a nice day! Olin PS: I love your accent!
@lazydancertips8 жыл бұрын
Hello again Olin, I completely understand how you feel about loosing encouragement when you are not happy with various things of life. It does happen. You know that sometimes, what we call comfort foods, are the ones that really drag us down. They give us sugar rush but then the "euphoria and good feeling" disappears in no time and we want more. Bad sugars are the ones to blame. What I can suggest is that every time you need something to pick you up you choose something like fruit or home made juice,not the ones over the counter as they are full of extra sugars. Go with full glass of water with fresh squeezes lemon every morning, that will give you the energy and vitamins to start the day. Avoid fried food and substitute pasta with any other options like pearl barley, quinoa or brown rice.Yogurt with nuts and berries it's another great pick me up option with a spoon of agave! I promise i will video some of my favourite yummy italian recipes, quick to make and that you can take with you everywhere:) Again don't hate your body, it's a tool we need to do everything , not just dancing, give it as much loving as you can and you'll see that when you start loving it from the inside, the outside will change and give you what you want. Keep moulding it the way you want it to be, but don't fight it, work with it and you'll see how much you can achieve. Don't give up and keep smiling! I'll be there every step of the way! Kissy Alessia

Will these exercises help to slim down my thighs? There's so many mixed messages out there about what kind of exercises to do and which to avoid. I'm not overweight but I'd love to tone my legs and lose a bit of 'extra jiggle' without making my thigh muscles bigger. I used to be a dancer so my thighs are rather chunky.

hi, i recently discoverd your channel and i'm already on love with it!!! i have a question: when i am doing the "butterfly" excercise or the "frog" excercise or the " knee to knee" excercise my knees hurt so much!!!!! should i continue or should i stop? i would really appreciate if you could answer my question!! your videos have helped me so much!! i think you are perfect!!! ( sorry for any spelling mistakes, my english isn't very good)
@lazydancertips8 жыл бұрын
Hello Stella, Thank you lots for your lovely comment and for your good question. Remember that every time you do any of the frog/butterfly/knee to knee positions you knees should not hurt at all. Always be careful. When you stretch or hold a pose, keep it where it feels kind of comfortable, you need to understand what your body tells you. There are good pains and bad pains. Good pains are always the workout/after stretch sore muscles, the bad pains are those ones that get into tendons, are chronic or uncomfortable. Before you get to a belly down frog to improve your hips flexibility, make sure that 1-you are warm, 2- your hips and inside thighs are long and flexible enough to push it the an extreme position. Try the Beginner version of splits linked here tinyurl.com/zpqp8ra tinyurl.com/zh5abdh where i get you to loosen up hips, knees and quads. If the exercises hurt you knees please let me know and we can try to figure out together why and what is troubling the movement. Keep me updated! Ciao Alessia :)

Hi Daina, glad it was a good killer, well done for getting through this!
