What a super ensemble. Nigel, you did a fantastic job putting this together. I was very pleased to have been a part of it. Congratulations to all my fellow students.
I don't know who did a better job...the members or Nigel with his video editing skills!! This was fun and educational and attests to the wonderful community engaged with the McGill Sax School. Thanks and congratulations to everyone involved.

The Eb part of tenor 2 was kicking my ass. I completed tenor 1 right away, but tenor 2 took a dozen takes. Rather than patch in a clean Eb section, I wanted to play the whole part start to finish. There was always some bobble with the 16th notes going into it, and mainly, the 16th notes on the turn around. Reading someone else’s sheet music always reveals to me that I’m not as versatile as a real professional. After 10 attempts, I did better by not looking at the sheet music in the Eb part.

Perhaps. To be honest it’s incredibly difficult (for me at least). We had over 50gb of video submitted so my computer was really struggling. I had to edit the video in sections by instrument. I think you really need industrial strength computer power for this job!
