My wife daughter and I bought our first home here in 2005. Great quiet neighborhood, great neighbors and friends. Close enough to Austin for fun and far enough away for that friendly, small town feel.

I used to live in this town in the early 90's. I lived on Sunny Oak Ln near Nameless Rd close to Lago Vista. I remember there used to be a calkins convenient store out there! I miss living out that way. I had to leave and move back to Austin because I did not have a car, I used a bicycle to ride from the house all the way down nameless until I got to Bagdad Rd to get to the capitol metro bus station at the church. Doing that after a while begins to wear a person down. And I was lucky I never got hit by a vehicle riding on those narrow roads with no shoulders. Also i'm blessed not to have gotten killed. Otherwise, I loved it out there. That is a beautiful town ( the country part of it ). But it looks like the front part has pretty much boomed out since I lived out there. All those homes and shopping centers were not there in the early 90's. It was just land and acrerage. I hope you film more of this town! I enjoyed watching! Thanks for sharing!

I use to live there my whole life for 13 years now I love in conroe but it's been 5 months and I miss that place I knew ever where you showed and it got me sad I use to have a life there

Leanders a very cool place. So is Conroe. I used to spend a lot of time in Conroe at the Lake!

What made you move to Conroe ? I like Houston but if floods too much

Originally from Houston but have lived in California most of my life. Thinking of going back to be close to family... hate hurricanes in Houston though North or south Austin?

Leander is North Austin. California is nice, lived in Northern San Diego for a year or so in high school
