They really did put effort in this game. When I saw the car smash attack I fucking FLIPPED. Iron Giant is such a magical fucking movie man. I've been streaming this game for my friends and I keep asking them "Who do I pick? Superman, or Superman?" lmfao. Iron Giant will always be one of my lifetime heroes, self sacrificing robot that flies into nukes to save people, yes, it makes me cry sometimes lol.

I never really paid too much attention to his attacks, but man the nostalgia is intense. From him hitting the car and sitting on it to stop the alarm or muffle it, to him putting Dean’s “art” that he just chewed up on the ground as a spike. Even his grab is the same way he held Hogarth when he was running at the end of the movie. Him spinning with the car is just like him spinning Hogarth in the scrapped car in the Junkyard. This character is built on childhood memories, callbacks and references and I love it

Another interesting passive of the Giant is that if you get hit once, you take 100 damage instead of 8. This makes it so last stand is one of his best perks, if not the best.

Iron Giant is used by the number 5 and 6 ranked player in singles so thats not true. His weaknesses is being directly above or being constantly hit near or at ground level since he has no move besides his special/bolts to get out of a situation where ur spammed by quick attacks.

I will only disagree that if u look at the top 30 of both modes u can still win at high ranks, even my videos of top 2000-5000 matches in teams and solo I generally win so if ur good enough u can hide the characters issues.

Any recommended perks? I was thinking of attack speed or animation speedup or something but there was none, also, my 2nd choice was movement speed but he can't even run, so the bonus is probably like microscopic.

Is there even a movement speed perk? I haven't unlocked iron giant yet but the 4% less damage seems like it should be really good on him since he is already SO hard to knock out of the stage. Dude can be 170 damage and still not get killed by moves that would kill normal characters at 125

Big characters are so hard to balance. Either you make them glorified normal sized characters or they are polarizing balance wise(best/worst character). Hopefully big character designs in the future explore ways of better balance such as punishing players that are over-aggressive against them, giving them great reward off of punish options that only work when the opponent abuses their weaknesses too much, and tools to effectively make them feel small are more nimble.

I actually hate when he whips out the cars, like the size difference between the car and the other players drives me up the wall. It’s such a recycled thing from the movie, they had so much potential for giving iron giant unique moves and they settled for copying and pasting straight from the movie. It’s lazy and uncreative.
