" Back to the drawing board" : having a second thought to reconsider , re-evaluate available options again, one of my favorites as we use it quite a lot at work, back and forward:). I think "That ship has sailed" is my favourite idiom. By the way, we have similar one, it sounds like "the train is off":)
@Pronunciationwithemma6 жыл бұрын
That's so interesting! I wonder why yours is a train and ours is a ship! Haha
@yanisyoudas24796 жыл бұрын
the same for us in Algeria we use the train instead of the ship 😄
@Pronunciationwithemma6 жыл бұрын
No way! That’s so interesting! I’m even more curious to know why we say ship and you guys say train! Haha. Maybe it’s due to the geography of the countries. If you’re closer to water and have many ports hen maybe you’re more likely to use ship 🤔 I really don’t know! Haha
@yanisyoudas24796 жыл бұрын
@@Pronunciationwithemma we say 'the train has left' means as well it's too late but I really ignore the reason why? although we're closer to water hhh😄

Thanks for the lesson delivered on your KZbin Channel, very useful, Pardon me, even though I am very grateful for your commitment, I would have liked it to be broadcasted without the background music.
@Pronunciationwithemma6 жыл бұрын
Hey Alberto, sadly there's no pleasing everyone and when I don't have the music people complain and say it's boring, and then when I add it slightly in the background people complain. Not all my videos have background music if they focus on pronunciation, but some have it simply because more people request it. The background music during the actual explanation of this video is set to an incredibly low and unobtrusive volume too. Cheers.
