Great lesson! Could you also combine ما عاد بدي with a noun phrase? As in: ما عاد بدي من المدينة = i've had enough of the city? Or can it only be followed by verbal phrases?
@ArabicClearlyLevantineArabic9 ай бұрын
It certainly can be formed that way ☺️

Hi Ibrahim., I switched some things up in an attempt to say, “I wonder if I can reserve a room for next Monday?”. However, when I think about the sentence I made, it sounds ambiguous. It sounds as if I’m wondering, when next Monday gets here and becomes today, whether I’ll be able to book a room. But I’m wondering if I can get a room “for on” next Monday if that makes any sense. Here is the suspect: عم اتسأل إذا فيني أحجِز غرفة التنين الجاي Hopefully it didn’t get mangled in the comments box. Doesn’t it sound ambiguous?

مرحبا استاذ إبرهيم. الله يوفقك للدرس. At about 04:15, how do I say "I'm looking forward to it"

بتطلعلها- بتطلعله However people would make the subject clear in the sentence instead of omitting it. Thanks

Thanks Ibrahim. I’m really enjoying following this series. In you examples for عم اتطلع ل , can you also attach افعال to the ل as in Standard Arabic or only مصدر? I’m guessing مصدر is more common.
@ArabicClearlyLevantineArabic8 ай бұрын
No, you won’t be able to attach the La to the verbal noun, it would the structure very clunky. Thanks
@jerrywebster76788 ай бұрын
Thanks. But could you have just as well attached ل to verbs in your examples. You have them on nouns right?
