In this context, saying 'su cara' would be repetitive. When referring to a person's body parts in Spanish, we typically use definite articles instead of possessive pronouns to avoid redundancy. In this example, the context (the mention of 'señor') and the pronoun 'le' already make it clear you're referring to the man's face, so the possessive is unnecessary 🤓
