What file format do you save/export in in order for this to work on facebook/whichever website will support it? ...and once saved, do you know which viewer you can open the files in?

You can upload the image to Facebook directly, given it's 6000x3000px or less, and the easiest way to make it work is to just inject camera info right in its properties. I set the camera make and model to Ricoh and Ricoh Theta S respectively. Once you do, Facebook will detect the 360.

awesome tutorial Cubebrush, thank u so much, you should pin your comment about setting the camera make and model in properties on of the image so it's at the top of comments, so people who want to place theirs on FB will know what to do next. =)

Hi Great video, however I don't have photoshop. Is there a free software that can do this?

You are a PRINCE for uploading this tut. I had looked for so many ways to do this and was about to sorrowfully commit to drawing on the grid....flat and just trying to make everything curve around by manually drawing it curved! You and this 3D photoshop canvas are gonna save mah life.

You're the man!! I've been wanting to create panoramic paintings for quite some time, couldn't find any free resources, let alone, one that uses photoshop... I greatly appreciate this :)

This was amazing! I've been trying to figure out how to draw 2D backgrounds for a VR game, this method is perfect!

This was an awesome video and i actually made on myself after learning from this video!! Thank you so much. However i do have a question, after uploading it to You Tube how do you erase the black circle that appear at the very top of the "sphere" and at the very bottom as well. Your response is very much appreciated. haha thank you!!! :)

How to fix the camera out from the Sphere: After I spend like 2 months to fix this problem, I found the solution. The problem is in the Photoshop language different from English GB. If you go in the folder Application/Locales/ try to rename the folder inside and launch Photoshop. Example in my case I've it_IT, and I renamed it in it_ITb. When you're launching Photoshop there will be an error message where Photoshop can't find a shortcut. Press Ok and keep going. Try to create a Panoramic Sphere. If the camera works perfectly, uninstall Photoshop without keep preference. Go to the Creative Cloud app, and in the gear of the preference change the language to English International. After install again Photoshop, and enjoy your Pano!

You say anything below CC 2015 version of Photoshop is not going to work. In CS4 Extended and it got all the basic functions to do this. There is only slightly less options.

Thanks for the video, its been really helpful. I've been having issues keeping the camera centered within the sphere and pivoting in the center like yours(the camera orbits right outside the sphere). Not sure if you know how to fix this, but any advice would be super useful!

Hello! Sounds like you might have a Photoshop version below CC 2015.5? If that's the case, you'll to update for it to work ;)

in 2022/23 "spherical panorama" does not exist as an option under mesh preset. I would love to hear how people are still doing panorama work with either photoshop or a better program
@machidraws1 Жыл бұрын
its not under mesh preset anymore, its one of the options on the first menu on the 3D dropdown window

@@machidraws1 thanks / I'll have to monkey around and relearn this. I remember it was easy to add layers and paint under the line / remove the grid......but i done forgot all that now !

Amazing Tutorial. One question for you. I want to change the floor pattern of a 360-panorama. It is quite challenging to generate the right pattern similar to kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3TGnaiVnqeCeNU

Uses Jama's grid without credit! Classic

Hey Craig, from one pofessional to another, I would at least expect the benefit of the doubt here. I created this grid from scratch and it would be pretty lame to share something that isn't my own. If anything, it's just a better grid than any other out there (in my opinion). *Edit* - In case you're curious and want to check it out (or compare it): cbr.sh/4jvzol

when I go to the diffuse edit there is a grid on the painting, how can I fix this?

Under properties there is a box that says "UV Overlays", uncheck that box.
