This is crazy (lol)!!! It is clearly a "think outside the box" moment for you Lou!!! I love the effect. The cards are beautiful but the leaf card is stunning because of the ink colors. I love the fact you've figured out how to get partial die cuts (along with the window) on the sides instead of the regular top or bottom cut (hope that made sense)! Brilliant! TFS this unique trick!

You can get this result by cutting the snowflakes by controlling the alignment of your plates. Put paper on the bottom plate. Put snowflake where you want to stop on your cardstock. Hold them in place wth mint tape or washi tape.. Set the top plate to stop right where you want to stop cutting your snowflake. The cutting stops at where the plate no longer covers the die or paper. Your plate edges no longer align. This is how you stop from cutting the entire die. To cut, both plates have to go through together, putting the pressure from both to cut. So when the top plate is no longer square with the bottom the machine can't cut. Pick a rectangular die from an infinity die set if you have one, the size you want your frame to be, then cut out your card front. The craft knife isn't needed to cut out and create the window, frame look.These infinity sets come for rectangles, squares, circles, ovals, etc...... This method eliminates the need to use acrylic blocks and the constant need to figure out the sandwich. I would like to say the technique presented is a fantastic example of a very creative person figuring out how to make these beautiful aperture results with what she has in her stash!!! It's truly amazing and I have honest respect.
