You need to learn that whatever state you are in to be content. This is no different from a child screaming for a cookie when the parent knows that is not good for the child at that time. The kingdom of God is more than meat and drink. Consider this. I have been a Believer just about all my life, and just about all my life I have been under attack. I have lost everything I had twice in my life due to the fact I didn’t wait to listen to the Lord about who I should marry. I became a believer when I was 9. Right afterwards my parents divorced and I was abandoned. I never saw my father again and my mom was too heartbroken to raise her children. She provided food, clothes, and a place to live but nothing else. No guidance or love. No way to church so I stumbled along. I was so desperate for a family I married the first idiot that came along. He beat me and ran around on me for 15 years. I lost everything trying to get out of it. I want to go back home where I raised my children. I’m praying so very hard. The rest of the story is sad and long but I’m loosing hope

Dear brother Rick. I love your teaching, honestly do a lot. But, I just have ( small ) issue with daily reading from the Bible for two reasons. 1. A thousand or so years ago, people might be illiterate or only have a Latin bible. People then were still praying ( a lot more than today), surely God was listening. 2. People in a life threatening situation (refugees in Syria for instance) may have no access to the Bible, but their prayers are true callings for God’s help. That said, I fully agree that when one can, daily reading from scripture and plentiful praying is a good thing to abide to. 🙏
