I have done my BTech from IIT Bhubaneswar and MTech from IIT Bombay both in materials engineering and have filed 4 patents. I genuinely appreciate and acknowledge professor Das' point about IP and IP Law. It is the need of the hour that we have an IP related course in IITs . In fact I would stick my head out and say that, it should be a mandatory course (with or without credits)

You should definitely go for it. Material Sciences along with bioengineering is going to be the next big thing in the forthcoming decade. Especially if you get IIT Kanpur. The faculty is great, also Prof Balani is such a kind person.

I'm interested in pursuing either materials engineering or chemical engineering because I want to be able to understand batteries at the deepest possible level that is achievable right now to be able to compare different battery technologies and the whole manufacturing process not just the design . I have a hard time finding a objective comparison and precise delineation of things that one degree in materials engineering covers that the other degree in chemical engineering does not and vice versa. Can you make either a video or link me to a in depth article that gives a precise and objective delineation between the two? Thank you!

Sir, what is the reason for high scoring in jee advanced 2024 by kota students of lesser known institutes like motion. Is the conduct of exam trustworthy? Why TCS is having monopoly on test centers? After the exam feedback was tougher than 2023 exam. How come cut off doubled? IITs are having 30% seats unfilled? Is these IITs think a student getting 108 in general is an idiot and good for nothing. Quota candidate at 50 marks is bright. Why can't IITs release CRL for all who ckeared subjectwise cutoff in days of cheating. After 80% reservation over and above 50% set by honorable Supreme Court its self a cheating by govt. Supernumerary, kashmiri pandit, sports quota etc
