I'm an American Jew. I attended Hebrew school as a child. I learned to read, write, and speak Hebrew and for my Bar Mitzvah. 53 years later, I can't read, write, or speak a whit of Hebrew. I want to at least be able to read and speak Hebrew again so I can more fully return to my faith. Watching these videos, a lot of what I once knew is coming back to me. The teacher's native accent really helps, too.

We swear by Allah that we to believe that he will come. But not as a messenger of God as sent before for we are aware they that did not kill him and he has yet to taste death. he will come as a leader. For he to is a muslim - one who submits to God and all prothets were muslims , muslim means one who submits to God , To lead the Muslims against dajjaal , this is prophecy that will be fullfilled. Know that the jews of past and the ones who know their scripture know muhammad as they know there own sons. But the Jewish scholars of past threw this knowledge behind their backs Know that if the jews and christians followed their scripture they would come back to their original belief. Which is no doubt One God alone deserves to be worshiped, and he does not take any partners. We follow the Prothet of the time. At the time moses we follow Moses, at the time of Noah, we follow him, at the time Jesus we follow him and what he was sent with. This is how God has chosen to guide mankind. By sending messengers and scriptures. The original message did not change at all. This is the way of our father abraham and Adam. They said worship God alone and do not make partners with him. Worship means to lower your self out of love and honour. Realise you are a human that is in need. This is same this thing our messenger Jesus had come with. And he never said worship me or that he was God, while he was a servant and one in need of God himself he never said this. Rather these are lies against God and his messengers and goes against the teachings in which all the messengers had come with. Know that the final Messenger had come and he has told everyone this message worship God Alone and do not set up partners. He was a human a servant of God and a messenger one in need. We affirm this we understand that humans have no power of their own except with God's permission. The message is the same and we follow this was the way of our father abraham. And our Lord is one Lord and we will never set up partners with him. Do not get muddled with the usage of Arabic . It is just a chosen language like other chosen languages of past. Allah is not a different creator. This name is used by the jews and the christians of old. It means God in arabic. It is better to use Allah for the word God has been misused.

The alphabet is the same as arabic - Niqquds are vowels are also in Arabic and are in Qur'an - The letters are words and you take the first letter in the word when it makes a word - Both from right to left - They change in style under certain situations like letter change style depending on the letter that comes after or before it and in Hebrew style changes when written or printed - The Vav letter is a vertical stroke down, the same as Elif which is also a vertical stroke that is also just a vowel when a Niqqud is connected to it - The Arabic و (waw) and the Hebrew ܘ or ו (vav) are similar or even when it comes to the vowel, the Arabic و is pronounced u when it is in a vowel position and the Hebrew ו is a o when it is in a vowel position too

Hello , and thank you Yanna, I remember the difference between Zayin and Gimmel by comparing it to the letter "C " in English, and counting to 3. The letter "C " is the 3rd letter in the English alphabet . The 3rd letter in the Hebrew Aleph-Bet is Gimmel... which looks like a "c" with a line coming out of it. Then that leaves the remaining letter Zayin to be the opposite of a Gimmel, or a backwards "C", with a line on top...
@queertearss2 жыл бұрын
When I was an itty bitty second-grader learning how to spell, I just remembered them like parentheses. Gimmel is the starting parentheses, and Zayin is the closing parantheses

Very nice presentations. I have learned aleph bet in book form, script(or cursive) and print(block style), along with vowel markings, dagesh, sofits, but seeing and hearing from one who is fluent makes it so much easier to grasp. So glad I found your videos, and thanks. I will continue to learn, mainly for Bible study/research, hopefully to visit Israel one day.

@samar jamal I like that thought; but the problem standing between peace in the Middle East is mostly religious. If jews take Jerusalem, that might prove Islam's core ideas are wrong (that it is a replacement for judaism). therefore, the Islamic world is against Israel because of that, they don't want to see themselves following a supposedly false religion, or a copy and paste from the original. Peace would be lovely, haha. And as for the jews, it's a matter of "if we don't start a State now, we never will". Yikes, big problem there in the middle East, isn't it?

Hey 😊 I’m only just starting to learn the biblical/classical Hebrew and I came here after a few biblical Hebrew lessons. It seems like it’s easier to learn the Biblical Hebrew first and then come back later if you want to learn modern Hebrew as Biblical Hebrew starts you off with the niqqud. I just caught on more easily as I was watching an listening to you teach because I dealt with it in Biblical Hebrew. Thank for the awesome lessons. I’m really starting to enjoy it and even starting to take a deeper look into the history of the Israeli people in order to assist with getting and better grasp and understanding of the language.

I have a suggestion. When you say a new word in Hebrew, have it shown in English on the screen, so we can see the nuances of what you are saying. it will help us to fully comprehend what we are hearing, and should be saying. For example, the nikud for the O sound using Vav has a name that I was not able to catch, but if it had been seen on the screen using a phonetic English spelling, I would be able to memorize the sound and the words that describe that notation. Just an idea...
