Shalom Inbal, this is a very clear and concise lesson. I have subscribed. I have lived in America all my life, and Hebrew is brand new for me. I am learning praise and worship songs in Hebrew so I have learned some pronunciation for several weeks now. Hebrew is a beautiful language, and my journey has just begun.

I am an English speaking American. In middle school they made us take three language classes. First I took German then I took French and then spanish. I ended up liking German so much I took it for 3 years in high school. Today I have lost 95% of what I learned back then. I will be 44 in about a week and a half they say your first second language is the easiest but I can tell you from experience I did not make very good grades in German class. I retained absolutely nothing from French and the only Spanish I know now is what I have learned working in diverse culture groups as an adult. I am just 2 weeks into my journey of learning Hebrew the first attempt that I made was trying to learn how to speak Hebrew through one of the language apps. I learned very quickly and I literally mean within a couple minutes of being on that app that I was going to have to know how to read Hebrew if I wanted to learn how to speak it. So I found a video here on KZbin listing out in teaching the alef bet. I made flashcards and have been using them multiple times a day. I am already beginning to feel pretty confident with recognition and sound. I am actually very surprised and amazed at how easy of a language it is to learn compared to english. I can remember struggling in first grade with phonics because none of it made any sense to me. I literally had to be taken out of the Class by a teacher aide and tutored. What I realize now is phonics is more of a memory issue than an actual language issue. None of the rules make any sense. I really have a lot of empathy for people who English is their second language. At any rate I just wanted to spill a little of my story and say thank you for your tips and tricks I think I am hooked on your channel now LOL everything you have said has been extra information that I am not getting from the channel where I learned the letters. I'm hoping your workbooks aren't too much cuz I am just a poor girl from the country. If anyone has any suggestions or feedback on free learning material I would be most gracious. Also I have been praying that God will give me this knowledge. Learning the language I mean not wear material may be obtained LOL. Psalm 2:6 says that the lord giveth wisdom out of his mouth come knowledge and understanding

Wonderful! Let me give you a quick guide: I have divided it into reading/writing and speaking to allow you to start where you want to focus on. You can definitely do both. On my KZbin channel you will find plyalists for speaking, reading/writing, learning with songs... for this purpose. Watching the playlists in order is a great way to use my channel for learning. Now for the actual curiculums I offer :) For reading and writing, Hebrew 1 and 2 workbooks followed by Hebrew 3 textbook complete all your skills in this domain. You can get them locally at hebrewbyinbal.com/order For speaking, download my free guide kickstarting your speaking at hebrewbyinbal.com and sign up for my conversational course waitlist to get the update as it re opens (very soon) Watching the plyalists on YT and my daily videos on IG in addition will give you 360 learning, and I am always here for any question and to celebrate your wins :)

I often see Vet used as Bet. Is this because Hewbew never had a B sound only a V sound and down the line they added the dot for people to use the B sound??? Two examples are בראשית אביגיל Also on my keyboard how would I add the dot to a Vet?
