I don't think most Slovenians speak like this outside of Ljubljana. This is very much textbook Slovene, not what you'll hear in the country side.
@zackaryonetwothree4774 жыл бұрын
When schools teach a language, be it english or their native, they teach it by the book. Sleng or even regular speaking is not something official sources teach you, or at least they go into too much detail of formal, semi-formal, friendly, family, etc. Practical speaking is learned by interacting with native/other language speakers. Ljubljana's "regular talk" itself is way different from what is in this video, Maribor would probably be closer to this (but still quite unlike this). Slovenia has hundreds of different accents and a lot have different words for the same things, despite its very small size. In a lot of parts of the country, people will look at you a little confused, "often" not even understand if you speak the way this video tells you to.

@@zackaryonetwothree477 The question is, can you pass the national language test for citizenship with this style.

This is pure textbook Slovene, far from any real Ljubljana accent. Neither in Ljubljana nor anywhere else in Slovenia you won't hear anyone speaking like that. Only in the classrooms.
@emo2theextremo153 жыл бұрын
Even people from Ljubljana speak a little different. Slovenia has over 50 accents so it's pretty impossible for a non native speaker to learn everything
