And we do get up after every adavu as it's a relaxing for a bit as they all are Beginners. And they prepare for the next one better. Is the 4th and 5th adavu inteechanged or what?? Cause in your tutorial 4th adavu means stamping 5 times and 5th adavu means 6 times and it's just reverse in this .I am getting confused . Would you please like to explain and clear my doubt

Yeah we have interchanged it. Number should not confused you Redisha. Your step has to be perfect. Number doesn't have that much importance. Check our concept of adavu video for more explanation. - Bhakti Naik

I just mentioned it when I noticed the mistakes as it seems very clear when you mentioned the name of the adavus that you are a not a native speaker. Naa -tt-uu adavu means country or native step. People will write is as naattadavu joining two words but when pronouncing it is different. I am a dancer myself of pandanallur style, my guru is sreemathi gayathri who was the disciple of Meenakshi sundaram pillai of pandanallur. Araimandi is the basic stance. Traditionally a guru will not move to the next step until the student masters the basic. Anyways I am not here to advise you but mentioned it what I felt was wrong. Because you are teaching what you teach should be perfect.

We are glad to hear your dance background. But then this type of comment is not expected from you ma’am / sir. we follow thanjavur style. We are sure you might know there are variety of words , Adavus which are Not Same or identical . And that’s why it’s called “style” we can’t impose and implement one particular way or system to all ( according to your style ). So nobody can say that this is wrong and what I have leant is right. It really depends on which style you follow. And when we are practising we keep correcting them as you can see in the video too. That’s why it is called PRACTICE SESSION and not A presentation or performance. This channel is to motivate people who wants to learn Bharatnatyam and unable to go in the class physically. There is no right and wrong postures in dance unless it is hurting the body or the basic structure of that particular style. it’s just a different interpretation.
