Really great video, I hope you can create more, us Cantonese learners will find very useful indeed, like how you used the jyutping too.

@@jadeinhk7619 You're welcome and thanks again. Well, if I can be so selfish to ask but I do have experience being in a new country and learning a language, then I would say situational dialogues just like this one. How about going to the wet market? I bet many foreigners don't dare shop in a wet market, they have no idea what to say (myself included). Also basic conversation openers like 'Hi/I'm from/I live in/I work as/Where are you from/I've been learning Cantonese for/I lived before in/I like etc.'. Hope this helps give some ideas! :)

I really like your contextualized lessons to help people remember, instead of many other teachers just who drill 50 phrases without context. Just a small suggestion though, the phrases you teach are a bit too long (e.g. Excuse me, do you have english menu?) and too complicated for beginners. Maybe for future videos, you could make more beginner-friendly videos, with short phrases?

Cantonese is also used for menus in U.S. Chinese restaurants, even though Mandarin is used throughout mainland China and Mandarin is the official language of China. If you were in Beijing and said "wonton", almost no one would know what you are saying. You would need to say huntun if you want to eat. By the way, Jadein, "gonna" is not a proper word. That and "wanna" are attempts to represent sloppy pronunciation. For writing, please write "going to" and "want to".

Totally agree. Please avoid lazy street speech. Maai daan is the Bill. Check/cheque is what you pay with in olden days.. But very nice video and contextual.
