Hola Maria, Bevinguda de nou! I moltes felicitats!!! I esperem més aportacions teves a la sèrie "Learn Catalan from Barcelona". Ben cordialment, Philip

Great vids by the way! Very nice quality, very clear sound and vid quality!

Thanks again for explaining this. The confusion most likely arises for those who have experience with other Romance languages, as "avere" in Italian and "avoir" in French are used for "to have", and "tenir" in French and "tenere" in Italian have a meaning of "to hold". My mnemonic rule for Spanish was "Spanish assume that if they don't hold something, they don't have it". Now I'll apply it to Catalan as well. :)

Hello Hello! Benvingut de nou Bella Maria 😍💝🌺🤩☀️ Welcome back! So lovely to see you again 🙏🎁💙🌅🌼 I was getting worried about you! Well I am glad to see that you are okay 🙏. Felic Diada de la Castanyada 🌰. And thanks a lot for the wonderfull Video 💝. It’s interesting because I was learning about another important Catalan verb called ‘Fer” and how it is used in a unique way by Catalans ( fer petons, fer abracades, etc) and this is also very unique and interesting. Thanks again for the wonderful lesson and I look forward to the next one 🌟📙💖🥰🌴

Hola hola i moltes gràcies pel comentari!! :) very kind and enthusiastic as usual! That’s true, I had never fully reflected about “fer” and how broad it is. I guess this is one of the reasons why Spanish/Catalan speakers sometimes struggle with “make” or “do” as the verb “fer” mostly covers both meanings (like fer el llit - make the bed or fer els deures - do your homework)... Great reflection of the day :)

@@learncatalanfrombarcelona7756 Bon dia Maria. Chestnut day 🤣, I might be late but happy chestnut day 🌰😅. When I was looking up la castanyada I learned about the traditions/history and I seen some of the food and a drink called Catalan moscatel sweet wine, it all looked really nice 😋. It sounds like a nice and interesting tradition/festival. Looking forward to the next upload and I hope everything is good with you ❤️

I’d love to now say: “yes, this video was actually done as you requested!!”, but sadly it wouldn’t honest. I do remember a couple of people asking me about it, but as you know it’s been a while (lol) and don’t remember all the details 🙈😂

Looking to learn Central Catalan (Girona), but having a hard time finding a website or app. Sometimes apps pronounce differently, as do translators. Not much for podcasts, more into apps or language courses with audio. Know of any?

Hola. So, tener que (castellano) = haver de (catalán)? When do we use “heure “?
@DrRas3 жыл бұрын
Ashish, If you mean "hauré de" ('I must'), it simply corresponds to the future of haig de... (= Cast. tendré que...).
