@@professiggitways The Adinkra Alphabet font will work on mobile devices but you will need a third party software to install. This is where Unicode support comes in to help with application across multiple devices directly. If you have an Android phone you can check out the Adinkra Alphabet app in Google Play to type in Adinkra Alphabet.

Also what was your thought process in regards to matching the particular adinkra symbols to the sounds presented?
@AdinkraAlphabet28562 жыл бұрын
I have explained that in detail in the book "Adinkra Alphabet: The Adinkra Symbols As Alphabets & Their Hidden Meanings". I recommend you get a copy.

A few questions This looks really good, but there is also another guy on the socials who is attempting to use adinkra to make a script. The channel and Instagram is called “adinkra nkyea” Do you know of their existence? Would y’all be willing to compare? Secondly, how do you reconcile that the concept of alphabet scripts is mostly western? Where as everyone else has a different means of writing? And by no means am I an expert but just asking questions

I will recommend you get a copy of the book "Adinkra Alphabet: The Adinkra Symbols As Alphabets & Their Hidden Meanings". That should answer your questions.

This is nice and all but this is still way to latinized and romanized. Try making it more complex this is way too easy to learn, it is literally just us replacing Adinkra Letters over Roman letters. It litterally feels like my current Akan keyboard is being replaced exactly,just with different letters. Try mixing it up,more like East Asia writing,Katakana is a good example. It uses one sound characters that can range from 1 sound to 3 sounds, such as "tsu" or "sh" that way we dont have to end up with long sentences like we do in Roman script. Also elimanate as much Latin Letters as possible like in the case of "ɛ" why don't we replace it with the "3Ɛ" Adinkra Symbol like proposed before? But besides that this script is looking good, it hope this script takes off in Ghana🇬🇭and becomes the official writing script to write Akan languages only so that we can degrade Latin/Roman especially in Asanteman. In my personal opinion, this should have been done a long time ago,but now that it is happening I am woke and ready. Keep up the work my brother,just know that Ghanaians are supporting you and your works. ✊🏿❤🇬🇭👊🏿🔥🔥🔥

Thank you for your feedback Kwaku. Adinkra Alphabet can be quite complex that is why I try my very best to make it simple. Each character has at least 10 attributes. Each character has a sound, a numerical value, three levels of meanings, assigned geometrical location on the Adinkra Tree of Life (ATOL) etc. Also writing with Adinkra Alphabet is different because you use only the sounds. So your name Kwaku will write different in Adinkra. Getting a copy of the book will help you with understanding Adinkra Alphabet. I hope this helps.

Kwaku this is the first time I am hearing that Adinkra Alphabet is easy so I will actually take that as a compliment!
