it will happen one day. It took me months to learn, haha. First time I landed 2.5 hook was in 2015, and I had already been yoyoing for years. Once you land it the first time, it's set in stone.

Hey I am a yoyo beginner and I know the basics. Now I am going to buy a new yoyo. I want a portable (small enough to fit in pocket) yoyo suitable for doing tricks. Now I am confused between the replay and the velocity (both from YoYoFactory). Which yoyo do you suggest?

If you want it to fit in your pocket, most modern yoyos (like the Replay Pro) will be too big, which is why we sell the bloop so you can fit it on your belt loop instead. honestly go for a boss my dude. yotricks sell a bosskit if i remember correctly. its not a big leap from starter yoyos and it will help improve your aim because the boss is small. Its price isnt harsh and it can fit well in your pocket

I have not perfected these myself, so I cannot say definitively, but I can say the string he is using in this video is quite long.

when i try slack tricks the yoyo binds and comes back to hand. do i need to lube up the yoyo to fix this?

That just means your yoyo is playing responsive. If you have not lubed your yoyo bearing it may help, but after a point more lube will make the yoyo play more responsive.

What string length would you recommend using for these?

good question. My string length is usally about 48" from the top of the loop (without slip knot) to the center of the yoyo. This is after it has been played with and stretched out so maybe about 47" before stretching.

So a few months ago I was using Kitty Tall almost the full length, and I decided to switch to about belly button length (to yoyo with slipknot), and I felt like I was getting good with it in terms of speed, but it was harder to land slack reliant tricks. Just recently I started to go a little big taller (about center of my chest, maybe half a foot more than what I used?) I know you use pretty long string compared to most really good players, so do you think I should use something longer than Chest height string?
