why can't we do vertical zoom with Mousewheel+Key? all the other daws have this function and i'm giving up on migrating to cubase because it doesnt have. it slows the worlkflow a lot :(

Confusing. None of this came up on the trial. All i got were multiples of windows, different windows to activate etc - all the stuff a techy alone would have spent a lot of time thinking about in their head, and only for their head alone.

Once you manage to create a project you can use the 4 icons at the top right of the screen to hide and show the different 'windows' so you can just see your tracks if you want. I just got the trial a few days ago and it was very confusing at first but a few videos like this really helped me work out how it works. Still much to learn...

i think i will give elemets a go as soon as i can .... i am tired of studio one : it keeps crashing in the last days and all i did was recording a rock song which mostly is guitar and bass made out of the guiat tunes done with a strat. can you tell me how is the stability ? and do i get updates by steinberg ? i want a German Product and Steinberg is one. Please tell me and others who have simliar issues : does it recognise oriental tunes as such when quantized ? presonus keeps on quantizing them false and that what you get is...well even my cat got distrubed 🤣thanks alot in forward , you got one mo sub

I recorded a song the other day went perfect but then it recorded another 1 min past my song of just the vinyl effect anyway to trim that or set end point in song I used the bar ya loop 🔁 with but it recorded past the end point I set was super annoying do you have to turn fx off after recording fast to prevent it picking up the vinyl?

Hi. I got a question. I use OB-xd as a VST. I got three midi track and when my track go back to the beginning the sound change. Cubase doesn't keep the sound i choose. You know why. After choosing my sound is there a move i got to do to tell Cubase (this is the sound that i choose) Thanks.

When using a VST you should use an instrument track and not a MIDI track.

I don´t know if i can get some help here. Using Cubase 12 Elements. I want to record a second midi track with an vst on it. BUT, the first track does not give any sound . I press the little speaker symbol on it and it gives sound. BUT now the first vst plays the same notes I am playing for the second track AND the notes I already recordet. Using it on Win10 latest update and a Digidesign Mbox2 Steinberg support does not respond.

I know nothing about recording. This video just made it worse. I just want the absolute most basic info to start. How to set up input, how to hear what I've recorded. Add tracks to that. THEN teach effects, etc. Why is there no video to show the simplest stuff? It's not like this is super intuitive software

I feel ya...hopefully you can find some basics. This tutorial was more for covering new features or coming from other daws. Just start playing around. You will get it eventually
