This happens too often on instruction videos. I have no way of knowing how to setup my screen so that it looks like yours so I have no way of knowing how to change my effects channel to pre-fader. My Inspector window does look like yours and I have no way of knowing how to make mine look like yours. I right click all over the effects channel and I don't see "Move to Pre-Fader" anywhere. Huge waste of my time.

Hi Greg, it's Michel Maher from Ottawa Canada, I have Cubase 13 pro on Windows 11 PC 32GRAM, as recommended I used separate external SSD (Crucial X6 4TB) for Native Instruments plugins; Also I organized all instruments in separate track, channel and reverb bus... Unfortunately I experience long and annoying delays at loading and even while playing. Also some time at loading it says need separate channel for automation....

I've started using this cubase 14 and i can confidently say this is the best version of cubase there has ever been! It's very stable, hits harder than the other older versions, the graphics are crisp, and the general feeling while using it is efficiency at its best. The new stuff are also amazing and extremely important. Big up to steinberg this time. Now Cubase is just amazing!

This is HUUUUGE! Drum Pattern + Drum Machine with import wave files ! Also Modulators rocks! I wait in the future the posibility when you`ll can convert midi drum editor to a drum pattern for other VST drum kits from another VST Instruments. In the midi editor down bellow we need: Midi Editor, Drum Editor (the old one,) Score editor AND Drum Pattern Editor! Or maybe a new BeatDesigner with individual steps for this??

Wow that is such a convoluted way to open and close lanes on a group of tracks. Really if they're in a group or folder you would expect them to open all lanes, especially with the Edit group clicked. Coming back to Nuendo from Studio One and this is really - daft! Project editor for such a simple and common function, beats me.

This is the upgrade that sold me because it was very frustrating not being able to add gain and also very frustrating that just adding the first point with the pencil tool would often slightly reduce the volume of your whole event if you didn't perfectly click on the very top pixel of the event.

2:53 I've always used Shift + M because that's the shortcut for "Mute Events" and the one you've shown here says it's for "Mute Objects". Using the range selection tool like you did, both did the same thing. Is one preferable over the other? What is an "object" vs. an "event" in Cubase?

Great video Dom as always! But honestly, the most important tool that was in previous versions is missing here, which is CLEAN NOTE OVERLAPS and some others. You showed all that nicely, but what about when I play long notes on the keyboard, for example in the bass... those long notes should sound like long notes, but rhythmically they should be written, for example, as 1/8 notes, but however they are written as notes connected by a ligature (because of the longer duration (overlap). The problem is in reading, because the person who reads such notes cannot judge which notes are rhythmic, which is a big problem. When you play a prelude in 1/16, the notes are written as 1/16 and that's how it should be, but since the notes overlap in the live performance, Score Editor writes them as Overlap and that's a problem. if that QD works so well? Apparently it doesn't work well or we don't know where it can be adjusted. In any case, the old options are missing, one of which is called CLEAN NOTE OVERLAPS!!!
